Rocks were the world's most dangerous pirate, leading figures like Big Mom, Kaido, Shiki, and the late Shirohige. Several things become evidence that Teach is the son of Rocks.

First, they both have the name D.The father of Monkey D. Luffy is Monkey D. Dragon, and the father of Portgas D. Ace is Gol D. Roger. So there's a chance that Rocks D. Xebec is the father of Marshal D. Teach.

The other evidence is the name of Teach's ship. On One Piece Vivre Card Databook volume 3, it is explained that the name of Kurohige's main ship is Saber of Xebec. This is not just a coincidence that the ship has the same name as Rocks D. Xebec. There's also a chance that it's the same ship that Rocks used to sail in the past.
