Tokyo Game Show is the biggest game exhibition event in Japan which is held every year. The Dunia Games team who visited Tokyo Game Show 2024 had the opportunity to conduct an interview with Hiroyuki Sakamoto (producer) and Ryosuke Horii (director) from Like A Dragon. 

There are some interesting questions being asked here. One of them is about Majima's Sea Dog Style fighting style which is seen in the Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza trailer. With this style, Majima fights like a pirate or buccaneer, using two swords and aggressive movements.

According to Hiroyuki, this movement was actually inspired by the Mad Dog Style in the Yakuza 0 series. "Looking at the Mad Dog Style that existed before, we thought about what Majima didn't have to combine it and think about what fighting style would suit him best," answered Hiroyuki.

Because this is a LAD series with a pirate theme, they decided to give a pirate-style fighting style to the protagonist, Goro Majima. Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza will still be located in Hawaii like Infinite Wealth. However, this time the player will play Goro Majima who will become a pirate in search of his lost memories. Look forward to the excitement of Pirate Yakuza which will be released on February 28, 2024.
