Wild Rift recently gave a hint by featuring the giant monster, Baron, in a post that says "The Battle of Baron" on its official social media account. They also wrote the tagline "A YouTube Live Experience".

Wild Rift eventually gave a follow up to explain the meaning behind the hidden message.

The Battle of Baron is an event that invites players to take part in a fight against Baron in a YouTube Livestream. This event is meant to celebrate the launch of the open beta in Vietnam, Oceania, Taiwan, Europe, Turkey, Russia & CIS, the Middle East, and North Africa.

The Battle of Baron will start on December 10 at 17:00 WIT, and this will be the biggest Baron battle in history.

1. How to Take Part in “The Battle of Baron” Event

1. Each participant in the Livestream will only have to type in chat to attack. By typing in "1"; "2"; "3"; and "4" will allow you to cast Smite and other abilities. But keep in mind that they are going to use a voting system, so, the ability will be based on the ones with the most votes.
2. You can’t just throw attacks on Baron at will. You will have to look for the right moment to launch your attacks. If you manage to do that, these attacks will be empowered and inflict bonus damage. To be able to launch these powerful attacks, players will have to work together.
3. In The Battle of Baron, you will also encounter the legendary Champions of Runeterra. These Champions will join your battle if you summon them in chat by typing in "5".

2. Tips on Defeating Baron in “The Battle of Baron”

1. Make sure you use the live chat feature, instead of the top chat. Why? Because the ability that will go through will be based on the votes. Using the live chat feature will help you to know which ability other Summoners from all over the world are voting for;
2. No need to worry about when will be the right moment for you to launch attacks, because, you can identify them by looking at the glowing ring of energy on the ability. However, since these energy rings will have a duration, all Summoners will have to vote to cast before time runs out.

3. Rewards

It’d be meaningless to defeat Baron and receive nothing in the spoils of battle. No need to worry though, because Riot Games will honor you with two rewards. All open beta participants will receive a unique emote and icon in 2021.

There will also be an additional bonus reward for the first 25,000 players who join the Livestream and defeat Baron: their names will be immortalized as Baron Slayers in the end credits sequence. Awesome!
