HoYoverse announced that "Honkai: Star Rail" Version 3.5 "Before the Death of Heroes" will officially be released on August 13, 2025. Version 3.5 will officially open the second chapter of the Amphoreus story. Trailblazer will meet new companions, face new enemies and events, and witness new appearances from his old friends.

In Version 3.5, two powerful characters will join Trailblazer's team. The first is Hysilens, the Knight Commander of the Holy City, a 5-star Physical-type character who follows the Path of Nihility. In battle, Hysilens pairs well with characters who use DoT. When using his Ultimate, Hysilens will create a barrier area.

While the barrier area is active, Hysilens will trigger an additional DoT every time an enemy is hit. At the same time, the ATK and DEF of all enemies will also be reduced. Furthermore, her Basic Attacks, Skills, and Ultimate have a chance to inflict DoTs of a random type on enemies, while her Skills can also increase the DMG taken by all enemies, thus boosting the overall DMG capability of the team.

Cerydra, another 5-star Wind-type character on the Path of Harmony, is the holder of the fire seed "Law" and the originator of the first Flame Chasing Journey. Cerydra has studied chess since childhood and is adept at strategizing using chess principles to achieve victory. In battle, Cerydra's Skills grant a special upgradeable buff, "Military Merit," to a teammate, which increases their ATK and deals additional DMG when attacking.

"Military Merit" can be upgraded as the battle progresses. At that point, when the teammate uses a Skill, CRIT DMG and RES PEN of all types will increase, and the Skill's effect will be copied once again, boosting overall DPS! Additionally, when Cerydra launches her Ultimate, she will deal DMG to all enemies and grant herself a Charge, providing continuous support in battle.

Furthermore, the exclusive 5-star characters Stellaron Hunter Kafka and Silver Wolf will return in the first and second phases of the Version 3.5 Warp event, respectively. They will continue to be powerful supports, fighting side by side with Trailblazer to face the various challenges ahead.
