With the release of GTA Online’s DLC The Contract, Rockstar is bringing a highly-anticipated update for fans: an update on the life of one of the protagonists of GTA 5. The main focus of The Contract is Franklin Clinton, and his buddy, Lamar Davis. And the good news is, you can play the update for free!

So much has changed in Franklin Clinton’s life. Now, he’s become a prominent, affluent figure in Los Santos. Franklin will work together with your GTA Online character, providing solutions to high-society problems in Los Santos. One of the big names is Dr. Dre, who’s a real-life rapper/producer.

However, Dr. Dre isn’t the main focus of this article. On this occasion, we’ll be discussing Franklin’s life after the events in GTA 5. As we already know from the storyline in GTA 5, Franklin failed to move on from his ex-girlfriend, Tanisha.

Tanisha was then about to get married to a doctor named, Jayden, and since then, Franklin seemed to get angry easily. Franklin became emotionally unstable and would get offended easily whenever his friends would make fun of him.

In The Contract, Franklin looks much more upbeat and fresh than his version in GTA 5. As it turns out, Franklin’s personal life seems to have a big impact on this change. Because, if you swing by his house, you’ll see some new items that you haven’t seen before when playing GTA 5. Such as beach balls, floaties, and a child’s slide.

But that’s not all.  You can even see a sign that says “The Clintons” under Franklin’s house number. This means that Franklin lives with his own family now.

And, surprisingly, during the day, you can see a red car parked next to Franklin’s. The license plate reads “TAN1SHA”, which may indicate that Franklin did end up marrying Tanisha.

Although she never appears in person, Tanisha is mentioned several times by Franklin, and the context does point to the fact that they’re married. In the mission Short Trip - Seed Capital, Lamar tease Franklin to not have a smoke as he may get scolded by Tanisha. And, in Short Trip - Fire It Up, Franklin says a line that indicates that he already has several children.

Lamar: “Hey, wassup... Can a loc come up in your crib?”

Franklin: “Man, f**k you man, my kids up in there. I don’t want your a** up in my house, ni**a.”

An update on the character’s life like this one is very exciting to follow, especially for fans who have been wondering how their favorite characters' lives have been going. Now that Franklin and Trevor have made their return in GTA Online, Michael is the only one left. Let’s just hope that in the next update, Michael will return to the GTA Universe, so that we’ll know what he’s been up to.
