HoYoverse, previously known by MiHoYo, the creators of Genshin Impact, today (26/04) officially released their latest game, Honkai: Star Rail. Starting today, fans can embark on a new adventure in a spin-off sequel from the Honkai franchise, in a different universe than the previous titles.

The game comes with a turn-based RPG concept with an open-world exploration that is reminiscent of Genshin Impact. The latest game from HoYoverse is now available on mobile and PC, and a future release for PlayStation. Honkai: Star Rail promotes a theme of Space Fantasy RPG, which combines elements of mythology and sci-fi. 

Similar to its predecessors, this game features numerous playable characters. Each character comes with unique skills and roles for the team. Before you play the latest game from HoYoverse and pick a character, on this occasion, Dunia Games would like to give you a tier list of the best characters in Honkai: Star Rail. Here are the tiers in Honkai Star Rail so far since its release:

• Tier SS: characters whose stats, skills, and potentials are the best in the game so far

• Tier S: higher-tier characters that are reliable in the most critical situations and the most intense battles

• Tier A: quite reliable characters who can step up and take the role of the key characters in your team

• Tier B: characters whose stats and abilities are quite second-rate, yet still decent and can still be maximized

• Tier C: characters that are quite powerful to help you make progress in missions, but are significantly weaker compared to other characters.

For the time being, not all characters mentioned in this article are available during the early release of Honkai Star Rail. Honkai Star Rail SS Tier Characters

1. Gepard

Gepard is an honest, noble captain of the Silvermane Guards who bears the name of the celebrated Gepard family. Gepard is a Support-Tank who possesses the power of the Ice element. Gepard is a character whose Trace can distract opponents and protect his allies. He also has an Ultimate that grants massive defense for the team.

2. Bronya

Bronya is a Wind character in Honkai Star Rail who’s also a Concard. She’s a Support who provides buffs for teammates. She possesses useful abilities and a tremendous potential as the team’s main buffer.

3. Seele

The Wildfire member is a valiant character who grew up in the danger-ridden Underworld of Belobog. She’s a DPS with a quantum element. This character’s quantum element is highly useful and offers flexible purpose. She synergizes very well with most of the higher-tier characters in Honkai Star Rail.

4. Yanqing

Another Ice character in Honkai Star Rail, Yanqing is a reliable Assassin who does tremendous single target damage. This DPS character dominates against bosses thanks to the buff that increases his crit damage.

5. Tingyun

The Head Representative of the Whistling Flames is a Support of the Lightning element. She can complement your lineup to provide boost for the team. With her Support abilities, she can boost the entire team’s Attack and Energy.

6. Jing Yuan

Jing Yuan is a Lightning DPS who does enormous AOE damage. An Erudition character, he specializes in AOE attacks that help him gain more stacks to amplify his Ultimate, which inflicts fatal damage with the help of a de-buffer. 

7. Bailu

Bailu is a Lightning character who’s also part of The Abundance. She’s a healer who focuses on keeping her teammates alive. She’s one of the best healers in Honkai Star Rail who can revive dying allies.

Honkai Star Rail S Tier Characters

1. Welt

This Sub-DPS character of the Imaginary element is a wise former Anti-Entropy leader who has saved Earth from annihilation multiple times. He’s a crowd control specialist who requires a great DPS. His Ultimate is very useful to turn the tides of battles as he can stop enemies’ attacks and lower down their SPD.

2. Clara

This adorable girl is a DPS character of the Physical element. Part of The Destruction, Clara has the ability of a Single Target Attacker who does explosive damage. She’s a flexible character who can be paired with numerous kinds of characters. She possesses a special ability to consistently pull off counter attacks thanks to the ancient mech that accompanies her, Svarog. 

3. Himeko

Himeko is an adventurous scientist who encountered the Astral Express when it was stranded in her home world. She repaired the train for years before venturing the universe. The fan-favorite AOE specialist who’s also one of the current best DPS characters is of the Fire element. 

4. Natasha

This Physical character can be a great healer for your team. She can remove allies’ debuffs. As part of The Abundance, she can heal teammates very effectively, making her an important character in long-drawn battles. 

5. Asta

Asta is one of the Fire characters in Honkai Star Rail. As part of The Harmony, she serves a role as a buffer who helps allies by providing them with different buffs. She can give speed and attack boosts to overwhelm enemies.

6. Trailblazer (Fire)

In Honkai Star Rail, Trailblazer is the main character that the players get early in the game. Players can choose one between the two Trailblazers, the male or the female version. If you choose the Fire element for your Trailblazer, they can be a reliable F2P character in the game. You can use them as the team’s main Support/Tank to help you progress in the game.

Honkai Star Rail A Tier Characters

1. Dan Heng

Dan Heng is one of the Wind characters in Honkai Star Rail, and he’s a reliable Hunter. Dan Heng is an Assassin who inflicts single target damage. He’s also one of the characters that you can get early in the game. Heng is a tough DPS character who can gain damage boost for his Ultimate.

2. Sushang

The Physical character is a DPS who does massive single target damage in battles. She’s quite tough with her Attack, Speed, and has the ability to shred targets’ defense with ease.

3. Pela

Pela is an Ice Support who’s also part of The Nihility. Pela can help the team by crippling opponents. She’s a great option if you’re looking for a character who can weaken your enemies.

4. March 7th

She’s an intelligent girl who’s always enthusiastic about all the things that she encounters. She always brings her camera to capture things that will remind her of her past. She’s an Ice character who can be a reliable Support/Tank. Her abilities may not stand out, but that doesn’t mean she’s weak.

5. Arlan

Arlan is a Lightning DPS character affiliated to The Destruction. He’s a rather risky character to have as his damage skyrockets as his HP gets lower. To protect him, you’ll need a great Healer and a Support.

Honkai Star Rail B Tier Characters

1. Hook

This Fire DPS character is also part of The Destruction. She possesses abilities and Ultimate that help her inflict tons of damage. Although she falls into B tier, she’s actually a reliable character for boss fights. 

2. Herta

Part of The Erudition, Herta is a Sub-DPS of the Quantum element. She inflicts enormous multi-target AOE damage. This character is perfect for grinding, and if you manage to find the best build for her, she can easily be an extremely reliable character.

3. Qingque

This Quantum DPS character is part of The Diviner of the Divination Commission. She’s a decent character for F2P, especially if you’re looking for an AOE specialist.

Honkai Star Rail C Tier Characters

1. Sampo

The Wind Sub-DPS character is part of The Nihility who serves as a debuffer. Sampo uses his impair and Ultimate to debuff enemies. 

2. Trailblazer (Physical)

If you choose Physical for your Trailblazer’s element, you can use them as a Support/Tank. The kit of this character is sufficient enough to help you progress far in the game. However, they’re significantly weaker than most characters on this list.

3. Serval

This Lightning DPS character is part of The Erudition. Although she falls into the lowest tier, she’s actually quite reliable to help you course through the game as an AOE Attacker. She’s also a great option for F2P players who need DPS with AOE attacks.
