Lyney is a playable character in Genshin Impact patch 4.0, Lyney is present on the limited event banner together with Yelan. As the first 5-star character to come from Fontaine, his presence was greeted with great enthusiasm by players, who couldn't wait to visit this new territory with him.

Mono Pyro is the best team composition to maximize Lyney's potential. In this arrangement, Lyney acts as the main DPS where in this composition you can maximize Lyney’s role and his passive. Lyney has a second passive, namely when the enemy has Pyro status it will add 60% base attack and when you bring another Pyro character on the team Lyney will add a 20% Pyro damage bonus to every character who has the Pyro element. Because of this, the Mono Pyro composition can maximize Lyney's damage. Xiangling's role supports him as a sub-DPS to apply the Pyro element on the battlefield. Bennett, on the other hand, played a vital role in improving the team's offense and providing much-needed healing.

To complete this team composition, Kazuha is needed to provide additional buffs to Pyro's damage and provide debuffs to enemies with the help of the Viridescent Venerer artifact set he is wearing. Apart from Kazuha, you can use Venti for additional crowd control and Sucrose as crowd control and buffer elemental mastery for one party to make Lyney even stronger in battle.

Team composition relying on the melt reaction in Genshin Impact is one of the deadliest combinations. This composition includes Lyney as a reaction element reactant from Cryo as the main damage. This team isn't the best but is quite effective, relying on Bennett's role to provide attack buffs to Lyney, provide healing to the entire team, and activate the beneficial Pyro resonance.

In battle, Ganyu and Layla play an important role in triggering the Melt reaction by applying Cryo elements to the enemy. This team composition also maximizes Cryo resonance for an additional advantage. Layla as a strong shielder to protect the team from enemy attacks Ganyu as a sub-dps using her ultimate skill launches a very wide AoE Cryo attack. With Melt's team composition, Melt is a pretty good choice to maximize Lyney's potential by relying on Melt's reactions.

Lyney, Sangonomia Kokomi, Yelan, Nahida (Burgeon Team)

This team took advantage of the Burgeon reaction, which is a relatively new reaction in Genshin Impact. This reaction occurs when the Dendro core produced by the Bloom reaction between the Hydro and Dendro elements comes into contact with the Pyro element. This composition is not the best composition for a Lyney because he cannot take full advantage of his potential, but this team composition is quite effective against enemies during exploration.

In the battle against enemies, you need to use Nahida as a Dendro applicator together with Yelan and Kokomi to create some Dendro cores first. After the Dendro core is formed, then they can use Lyney to trigger a Burgeon reaction by utilizing the Pyro element. The damage generated from this team composition is quite good and effective for enemies who are weak to the Pyro element.

The recommended teams that have been explained are some of the best teams that you can play to maximize Lyney, but if you don't have the recommended character you can explore Lyney's potential using other characters such as Nahida, who can be replaced by Yaoyao, Kazuha or Venti, who can be replaced by Sucrose, Kokomi can be replaced by Xingqiu or Barbara depending on how the playstyle you like.
