The Pokemon Festival event, which was held from December 2022 to January 2023 at PIK Jakarta featured various kinds of Pokemon tournaments. One of the events at the Pokemon Festival is the Pokemon GO match. Many Pokemon GO Trainers came to PIK Avenue to register and got chosen by the Leaders. The Leaders at this event were Professor Adodido, Zoe Two Dots, Kyle Zefanya, Falkro, Deni SirPanicAlot, etc.

At this event, tournaments are held in the Great League format (Pokemon with CP less than 1500). Enthusiasm for this event was clear as, apart from PvP matches, there were also other kinds of entertainment, such as the Pikachu Dance. This tournament was broadcast live on the Pokemon Official Indonesia's YouTube channel.

In an interview with Professor Adodido, who managed to progress smoothly to the Semifinals before playing against the Pokemon GO Asia-Pacific Champion, Deni, Adodido shares tips on how to win more Pokemon GO Battles.

The first tip is to have a Pokemon that is in the latest meta, for example, Sableye, Azumarill, Galarian Stunfisk, etc. Meta Pokemon are certainly stronger and more effective in comparison to Pokemon of the same type.

Secondly, it is mandatory to use Pokemon that have 2 Charge Moves to have more flexibility against other Pokemon. By having 2 Charge Moves, your Pokemon will have a wider range. However, resources that are not easily-obtained, such as Stardust, Candy and XL Candy, are required to get them.

As for the next tip, make sure that all of the Pokemon in your lineup complement each other, so that your opponent cannot easily read your next move. The coverage of each Pokemon must also be considered, so it will be easier to counter your opponents.

Fourth, you need to be aware of and understand the types of Pokemon, so that you can choose better Pokemon to counter specific opponents. Aside from the type of Pokemon, you also have to know the types of Pokemon attacks well, so you can use them accordingly. Super Effective attacks are the best to use.

Last but not least is strategy, composure, and self-assurance. Try to come up with the best strategies based on the Pokemon your opponent is using. Don't just rely on your Pokemon lineup, as it will eventually backfire at you. Execute the strategy you have with composure and focus.
