10 Beginner’s Tips for Days Gone

Days Gone is a zombie survival game that was initially a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Until Sony announced that the game will be available on PC via Steam. But surprisingly, Sony announced Days Gone as one of the free games for PS Plus in April 2021.
This is awesome If you own a PS4 but never played Days Gone. But before you play the game, here are some of the beginner’s tips when playing Days Gone.
1. Go to NERO
NERO is the defense organization belonging to the government in Days Gone. find the location of NERO because there you will find an injector serum that you can use to increase stamina, health, or focus. The serum will greatly help you to survive by extending your breath when running from the zombies.
2. Upgrade the Motorcycle
The motorcycle is a crucial part of Days Gone. without it, Deacon St. John is susceptible to being caught or keep on getting tired. Because you will spend the majority of your time riding around Oregon. That’s why you have to make sure the motorcycle is in its best condition and don’t forget to upgrade it to unlock new abilities. Such as being able to go faster, increases storage, and many more.
3. Fill the Gas
The motorcycle won’t be able to run without gas. So don’t forget to fill the tank when you are riding. You can upgrade the gas tank capacity, but you will still need to fill up the tank. Make sure to fill up the tank during your journey so you can reach your next destination. Because being caught by zombies when the motorcycle is out of gas is not fun.
4. Collect Every Resource
Another crucial thing when playing Days Gone is collecting every resource. By collecting resources, you will unlock gears that allow you to carry helpful tools. Use your time effectively to collect resources. Don’t get too caught up with killing zombies and learning the story but you forget to upgrade the motorcycle or gather ammunition.
5. Save Gas
Filling the gas tank can be annoying. So you need a trick so you don’t have to fill the gas for every ride. On a straight road, press the drive button once and the bike will go by itself. But on an uphill road, you have to press the drive button so it can get up the hill. Make sure not to ride on an uphill road and always find the closest route.

6. Increase Focus Shot and Crowd Control
Ammunition is crucial in Days Gone. Everything counts for your next adventure. To save up every ammunition, you need to raise your Focus Shot and Crowd Control. Both skills will increase your shooting accuracy.
7. Stealth Kill
Stealth kill in Days Gone is more efficient than a full-frontal attack. It attracts less attention, and you can save up your ammo.
8. Raise Trust
You can visit camps in Days Gone and earn the trust of the people from that camp. To earn their trust, you have to complete every task given by the resident and clear up the surrounding from freakers and marauder. Completing the task will reward you will good reputation. Raising the trust of the people will affect upgrades and new items used by Deacon.
9. Destroy Every Zombie Nest
During your exploration, you will find zombie nest that you have to clean up. Destroying them is easy, throw a molotov to the nest. Let every freaker and marauder burn and kill every zombie trying to escape. By destroying the nest, you will unlock the fast travel option.
10. Avoid Car Alarm
You can find ammunition or resources from abandoned cars. But be careful when opening the door or the hood, because it may trigger the alarm. The alarm will attract zombies. So you have to stop the alarm or leave the car.
