Not many players have known the best tips for playing the revamped Gloo. This hero has recently received a significant skillset rework, which has made him even more dangerous in the current meta.
Even in his previous state, Gloo has still been a viable pick in the EXP Lane and has offered considerable utility. But with the latest changes, his impact in teamfights and zoning has become even more terrifying.
Now, Gloo has been able to turn into his slime form more frequently since this mechanic has been moved from his ultimate to his second skill. This means he has become much more efficient as a front-liner, constantly disrupting enemy positioning.
His ultimate now has only served the function of attaching himself to an enemy. However, what many players have struggled with is executing the correct combo after—or even before—activating his ultimate, particularly the combo between his second and first skills.
Many players have mistakenly believed that the second skill must be manually aimed at the puddle left by the first skill to trigger the CC effect. But that has changed.
It was Tazz who has clarified this during one of his livestreams.
Tips to Play Revamped Gloo
There is a basic but crucial tip about Gloo that many players have not realized. Tazz has revealed that playing the new Gloo isn’t as mechanically complex as it seems.
Apparently, you don’t need to manually aim Gloo’s second skill after using the first one while attached to an enemy. You simply need to auto-cast it, and the combo has worked flawlessly.
"I’ve got the best tip for playing revamped Gloo. When you’ve already jumped on someone with your ultimate, just use skill one, then auto-cast skill two—it will automatically go to your skill one. So it's skill one, then auto-click skill two. Aiming it manually is too hard in my opinion," Tazz said on stream.
Gloo has slowly started appearing in MPL drafts again. He has proven to be a strong counter to S-tier EXP laners like Phoveus, and has turned into one of the most annoying heroes to face in teamfights.
With his new skill combo and mobility, Gloo has been able to target enemy backlines easily using his second skill and ultimate.
Now it’s just a matter of time before Gloo has become a go-to pick across all MPL regions.
