The MPL Philippines Season 15 (MPL PH S15) has now reached its 7th week, following the conclusion of week 6 on Sunday, April 6, 2025. As the Regular Season draws to a close, several teams, including Team Liquid PH, AURORA, ONIC PH, and Team Falcons PH, have secured their spots in the playoffs.

The competition at the lower end of the standings is intensifying, with just one playoff spot remaining for three teams: TNC Pro Team, Omega Esports, and AP BREN. TNC Pro Team has been particularly impressive this season, bolstered by the talents of former M4 World Champions Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera and Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales.

No longer languishing at the bottom, TNC's chances of making it to the MPL PH S15 playoffs are looking promising. The influence of Yawi and Bennyqt has been crucial in motivating TNC's emerging young talents to excel. They have celebrated several victories, including some surprising outcomes.

Should TNC succeed in reaching the MPL PH S15 playoffs, it would mark a significant milestone, as their last playoff appearance was in MPL PH S9. Now, with the world champions on their roster, TNC has indeed made it to the MPL PH S15 playoffs, ending a five-season drought.

TNC secures a spot in the MPL PH S15 Playoffs, shining brightly alongside Yawi and Bennyqt

TNC's path to the MPL PH S15 playoffs became clear after their impressive 2-0 victory over Omega Esports in week 6. This win secured them a playoff spot, even though they faced a setback against Twisted Minds PH on Sunday, April 6, 2025.

As of week 6, TNC Pro Team held a solid position in the middle of the standings, sitting in 5th place with a record of 5 wins and 6 losses (5-6). They recorded a total of 12 game wins against 13 losses (12-13), earning them 5 points.

Their standing is notably better than several other teams, including Twisted Minds PH, which has a record of 2 wins and 9 losses (2-9), and both Omega Esports and AP BREN, each with just 1 win and 9 losses. With only two weeks remaining, TNC Pro Team's position appears secure.

This marks a remarkable turnaround for the team. The last time TNC Pro Team reached the MPL PH playoffs was in season 9, where they finished in 3rd place but did not qualify for MSC 2022. In the subsequent seasons, they struggled and fell to the bottom of the standings.

From MPL PH S10 to MPL PH S14, TNC Pro Team faced challenges and failed to make the playoffs. However, with the addition of world champions like Yawi and Bennyqt, their prospects have brightened, positioning them as a potential dark horse in the competition.

Despite having secured their playoff qualification, TNC Pro Team still has two weeks left in the MPL PH S15 Regular Season. They will take on Team Falcons PH in week 7 and conclude their regular season against Team Liquid PH in week 8.
