Successfully delivering perfect results in the first Joker solo film, Todd Phillips immediately started working on the Joker 2 film which is predicted to have an increasingly interesting storyline. Receiving an Academy Award for Best Leading Actor, Todd Phillips considers the first Joker film to be one of the most perfect portrayals of the Joker. Of course, this has intrigued fans who have recently become Joker fans.

Previously, the first Joker film was written by Scott Silver along with Todd Phillips who directed the film. The first Joker film tells the story of Arthur Fleck who has a dark background and then the Joker character begins to form from various complicated situations. Starting from being disrespected, depression, to deep disappointment awakens the Joker persona in Arthur.

Phillips is also reported to have been involved in writing the Joker 2 script, but he is not sure whether Scott Silver will be involved in the film again. The news is that Philips will return to direct the sequel to the Joker film. Many have speculated that the first Joker film had connections with the Wayne family that will also appear in the sequels to come. However, it is still not confirmed whether this is true or not.

Warner Bros. itself has several big DC film projects this year. It remains a question whether the Joker will be connected to other DC projects or not. The rating of Joker 2 is still unknown whether it will carry an R rating like its predecessor or not, considering the many controversies that were present in the first Joker film, which might be a consideration for Todd Phillips in working on the next sequel.
