On Tuesday, February 22, 2022, TOHO posted the new trailer for Eiga Crayon Shinchan Mononoke Ninja Chinpuden, the 30th Crayon Shinchan film based on Yoshito Usui's manga. The trailer reveals the Crayon Shinchan movie theme song "Hi wa Mata Noboru Kara" (Because the Sun Will Rise Again) by the band Ryoku Oushoku Shakai.

The Crayon Shinchan film staff also revealed a new visual for the Eiga Crayon Shinchan Mononoke Ninja Chinpuden film. The film will be released on April 22, 2022.

Yu Sawabe, Yuki Iwai of the comedy duo Haraichi, and Rina Kawaei will guest voice the film. Kawaei will play Chiyome Hesogakure. Sawabe and Iwai will be playing as  themselves.

The film will feature Shinnosuke Nohara or Shin-chan as a ninja, and will feature the birth scene of Shinnosuke from husband and wife Hiroshi and Misae.

Masakazu Hashimoto (Dance Dance, Haruchika – Haruta & Chika, Appare-Ranman!) is directing the film. He also co-wrote the script with Crayon Shinchan anime scriptwriter Kimiko Ueno.

The previous film entitled Eiga Crayon Shinchan Nazo Meki! Hana no Tenkasu Gakuen was released on July 30, 2021. The film was originally scheduled to premiere in Japan in April 2021, but was postponed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
