After almost four years of dedication, Square Enix appears to be completing the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy with the third game expected to be completed in 2027. This latest information was revealed by @ataikimochi via social media X, citing the book Final Fantasy VII Ultimania.
Producer Yoshinori Kitase planned to complete the third part within three years, following the successful completion of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth which also took the same time. This can be achieved thanks to the team's efficiency remaining the same and understanding the dynamics of developing this game.
Apart from that, Tetsuya Nomura has started the sound recording stage for the third part, indicating that work on the main story has been completed. However, the financial results of this series according to analysts such as Daniel Ahmad (@ZhugeEX) did not reach expectations. Sales of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth only reached half of the sales of the first game in the same time period.
Nonetheless, from a fan perspective, the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy looks to be a success. With the development process becoming more mature, it is hoped that the third game will provide a satisfying experience for loyal fans of this series.
As fans await the epic conclusion of Final Fantasy VII Remake, Square Enix has promised that it will give its best to deliver an unforgettable experience in its rich and immersive fantasy world.
