GOOD GAMES GUILD is one of the Indonesian start-up companies listed as the top 3 gaming hubs in the world. One of the games released by GGG is Battle of Guardians (BOD), a fighting game. Battle of Guardians invites players to become characters in the game and fight against other players in PvP mode.

In a press conference held at Kemang Icon, Jakarta, on September 22, 2022, Aditya Kinarang as the CEO & Founder of Good Games Guild, expressed his feelings for having succeeded in supporting the birth of Battle of Guardians. “After the hard work and dedication of the Battle of Guardians team, we are thrilled to announce our first incubation project to the public finally. We are also very grateful for our solid community's great support and enthusiasm to date. We invite game lovers to try and learn all about Battle of Guardians, the first NFT Play-to-Earn fighting game with rewarding gameplay.”

One of the attractions of the Battle of Guardians is the large number of characters taken from Indonesian cultural references. For example, the character Nix with the form of a humanoid tiger which refers to the figure of King Siliwangi. In addition, there are characters that contain elements of nostalgia because they are inspired by the phenomenal Angling Dharma action cinema in ancient times. Likewise, the arena where the characters fight in the Battle of Guardians takes on familiar names, such as Soorga and Marah.

For now, this game is developed for PC. Meanwhile, iOS and Android porting are still under development. Later, this game will bring together cross-platform multiplayer.

Alexander Lim the co-founder of Battle of Guardians also conveyed a special message, "Our big goal is to make Battle of Guardians a sustainable game franchise, which will lead the NFT Fighting game industry where developers, investors, and all players can contribute together to explore endless opportunities in the fighting game metaverse."

Battle of Guardians Online Tournament

During the launch period, the Good Games Guild held a Battle of Guardians Online Tournament starting on September 23, 2022. The total prize up for grabs is Rp20,000,000!

The mechanics of this tournament is 1VS1 with a total of eight players. The system used is double elimination, where if a player loses, they can still play in the lower bracket. From each match, the three best players will be selected. For the final round, the five best players with a total of four rounds will be selected.

The elimination system is when the opponent has no health left, or when the time runs out. The Player with the most health left win the fight.

The registration requirements for players are Indonesian citizens and a minimum age of 13 years old. Players can register through the website battleofguardians.com/tournament and players who pass the selection and are selected will be announced via email.
