The Best AOV Team Tournament in Indonesia, ASL 2023 Winter Starts This Week!

Arena of Valor Star League or ASL 2023 Winter Powered by AXIS & OCBC NISP & Supported by Sunpride Lyfe will kick off on Friday, 1st September 2023, with the opening match between Kagendra and Mahadewa. In this tournament which will be participated by eight teams, ASL will be held throughout September 2023 as Garena AOV Indonesia's highest tier esports tournament before moving on to the world-class AOV competition.
ASL 2023 Winter is the second series of ASL this year, with ASL 2023 Spring being held in February-March. The teams will compete for the biggest share of the total prize pool of IDR 365 million as well as the right to represent Indonesia in the international AOV tournament. The first winner of ASL 2023 will receive a prize worth IDR 150 million, the biggest part of the prize.

ASL Winter 2023 will immediately start the match with a fierce duel between two top teams, namely Kagendra and Mahadewa (formerly known as Dewa United Esport). Mahadewa, last season's runner-up, will definitely use this match as an opportunity to avenge their loss to Kagendra.
Apart from these two teams, there are still six other teams that will compete in ASL 2023 Winter. Four of them qualified for the ASL B Series 2023 Winter tournament, which is an open qualifying event participated by Challengers teams from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines. Meanwhile, the other two teams are the 3rd & 4th ranked teams from ASL 2023.

- Lethal Assault Beepro (ASL B 2023 Winter)
- Bacang Time (ASL B 2023 Winter)
- Very Scary (ASL B 2023 Winter)
- NVG Team (ASL B 2023 Winter)
One of the teams that is attracting attention at ASL 2023 Winter is Bacang Time. The AOV community team managed to qualify for ASL 2023 Winter through quite a long path, starting from the Clash of Valor online qualifier, to maintaining a 100% win streak in the ASL B Series qualifying round. With this achievement, Bacang Time is expected to be a team that can face competition from strong teams in ASL 2023 Winter.
ASL 2023 Winter will consist of three phases, namely Regular Season, Playoffs and Grand Final. The Regular Season round will be held online from 1st-17th September 2023, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Each team will play twice in the Best of Five (Bo5) format.
From the Regular Season round, the four teams with the highest points will advance to the Playoff round on September 22nd-23rd 2023. The Playoff Round will use a Double Elimination system with the Best of Seven (Bo7) format. Only the two best teams will compete in the final round, the ASL 2023 Winter Grand Final, which will be held on September 30th 2023 in a Bo7 format. The Grand Final will be an offline match.
