The video game company Ubisoft is no stranger to tv-series and movies. Previously the company has released four seasons of comedic series Rabbids adapting the bunny characters from  Rayman and a film for Prince of Persia. And now it’s the turn for Watch Dog and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.  

Both Watch Dog and Far Cry3: Blood Dragon is planned to have its animated series. Although both of these games are directed for mature gamers, the animated series is more family-friendly and is targeted for the young audiences. 

Citing the Hollywood Reporter, the Watch Dog series will be created into a teenage animated series with “cyber mystery” as its theme.  While Far Cry 3 animated series will be remodeled and titled as Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Vibe and targeting the mature-teenage audiences. 

Ubisoft Film & Television will be working together with Adi Shankar, who worked on Castlevania animated series for Captain Laserhawk series. Characters under Ubisoft that existed on the different universe is planned to appear on the series. 

“Adi (Shankar) is a huge video game fan, and we have the same background and preference. It will be fun to give him the freedom to work on something fresh and daring using our characters,” Helen Juguet, the Marketing Director for Ubisoft Film & Television, says in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. 

Aside from adapting triple-A games like Watch Dog and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon into an animated series, the gaming company from France also planned on making an animated series from a popular mobile game, Hungry Shark.
