Those of you who watched Week 1 of the MPL ID Season 9 probably have learned that there’s a particular combo that’s becoming popular. Bigetron Alpha used the Kadita-Johnson combo against Rebellion Zion to secure its first win. Seeing that Johnson’s ult seemingly had no cooldown, I began to think that this Tank needs some adjustments from Moonton -- perhaps a couple of nerfs.

However, when I asked Renbo who played Johnson, he didn’t agree. According to him, not every player can pull off Johnson’s ult properly. Thus, a nerf isn’t necessary.

"Only a few players can actually use his ult (properly). Not every player can pull it off, so, it requires skills too. No need for a nerf unless everyone can (pull off his ult)", said Renbo in a post-match interview.

Renbo also confidently said that he’s the best Johnson main in the MPL ID Season 9. "I’m confident that I’m the best Johnson main in the MPL", he concluded.

The Johnson-Kadita isn’t actually a new thing in the Land of Dawn. This pair has been popular in Ranked matches. However, given that Johnson’s ult can be quite complex to pull off, only a few players can actually make this pair work perfectly.
