The UniPin Ladies Series MLBB 2021 enters its Playoffs on Friday (25/6) and will be closed with the Grand Finals on Sunday (27/6). Throughout the three days, six of the best ladies’ teams will give their best performances to win the title. And, aside from the strategies, each team also prepares the mental and physical health of its players. 

The six teams that will compete in the UniPin Ladies Series MLBB 2021 playoffs, which takes place at the PB Esports Indonesia’s Headquarters, are Belletron Era, Evos Lynx, RRQ Mika, MBR Delphyne, Morph Akasha, and Luna Nera Esports. Luna Nera Esports replaces 7 Heaven Emerald, which was previously ranked 6th in the standings. Luna Nera and 7 Heaven Emerald closed Week 3 of the Regular Season with the same amount of points, 12. 7 Heaven Emerald actually had the advantage with one draw, although the team eventually decided to withdraw from the tournament.

After playing against each other for three weeks of the Regular Season, the Playoffs will be completely different ground. With the upper and lower brackets, the bottom four teams will start the round. Whichever team wins will go up against one of the two top teams in the standings, Belletron Era and Evos Lynx. If the team doesn’t get a good result in the early matches, there’s still a chance to turn things around in the lower bracket. 

By advancing to the next round, the teams have prepared their special strategies. During the Media Day on Thursday (24/6), the captains shared their teams’ preparations amid the pandemic. Eldo San, the Evos Lynx captain, emphasized that although it sounds basic, the mental and physical health of her teammates are crucial if they were to play at the highest level, 

“Even though we’re carrying a big name, Evos, we still consider all of the teams as equals. So, we also prepare our team’s mental to play against other teams. In short, it’s still the same. We’re not the best (team) or anything. The most important thing is to have the mindset of a challenger, and never underestimate other teams in the playoffs,” Eldo said.

Debora Imanuella, the Senior Vice-President of UniPin Community, mentioned that the UniPin Ladies Series MLBB 2021 playoffs had been specially prepared to support the performance of the players, 

“All of the preparations we’ve done so far, be it for online or offline, were made to support all of the teams in giving their maximum performance. We want this tournament to eventually become the gate for the ladies gamers to compete professionally, as well as to serve as the benchmark for ladies tournaments in Indonesia.” Debora said.

PB Esports Indonesia also shows its full support for the UniPin Ladies Series MLBB 2021. Ashadi Ang, the Head of Public Relations of PB Esports Indonesia, conveyed PB Esports Indonesia’s support to ensure that the Playoffs runs smoothly, 

“We give full support for the Ladies Series MLBB 2021 to hold the playoffs at PBESI’s HQ. We have met all of the concerns regarding health protocols and examined the agenda. Therefore, we believe that the playoffs will run smoothly,” Ashadi said. 

The winner of the UniPin Ladies Series MLBB 2021 will prevail on Sunday, June 27 with a total prize pool of IDR 100,000,000.
