Today, The Game Awards announced the launch of a new Fortnite Island called "The Game Awards Vote in Fortnite." For the first time, Fortnite players around the world can vote in-game to help The Game Awards select the Best Fortnite Island of the year, based on 10 nominated islands created by creators and selected by The Game Awards.

Created in collaboration with Nighttimes and Studio 568, "The Game Awards Vote in Fortnite" is a hub world that allows players to navigate to ten creator-made islands that showcase the potential, creativity, and innovation possible in Fortnite. After exploring the nominated islands, players can vote in-game for their favorite island. Island winners will be announced live at The Game Awards, which will be broadcast globally on Thursday, December 7 from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

In addition to voting, Fortnite players can explore, adventure, and traverse the Island to collect The Game Awards statuettes. Players who collect all the statues will receive increased XP in the game.

"Ever since I hosted Live From Risky Reels on Fortnite in 2019, I've been thinking about how The Game Awards could bring our celebration to the games we play every day," said Geoff Keighley, Creator and Host, The Game Awards. "Our Fortnite Island is the first experiment in this direction, and I'm thrilled to help shine a spotlight on user-generated communities around the world."

The Game Awards Vote in Fortnite can now be accessed using the code: 0853-1358-8532.

Voting on this island is limited to one vote per Epic ID, where this island will be active until Wednesday, December 6 2023 at 6 pm Pacific time. Later the winning island will be announced both on the island and during The Game Awards on Thursday, December 7 2023. Best Fortnite Island is a 100% poll based on votes from fans and is not an official category of The Game Awards.
