Finally premiering in Indonesia, Fast & Furious 9 is an anticipated film since it closes the Fast & Furious Saga. Many of you are curious about the chronological order of the 11 Fast & Furious films. It’s best if you watch the prior films chronologically before watching Fast & Furious 9.

11. The Fast and The Furious (2001)

The film where Dom and Brian meet for the first time, The Fast and The Furious, is a nostalgic film to watch again. Brian is investigating a case of truck hijacking and disguises himself and approaches Dom's group, revealing Brian's cover. This film can be said to present the original version of Dom's group.

10. The Turbo Charged Prelude For 2 Fast 2 Furious (Short Film)

The Turbo Charged Prelude For 2 Fast 2 Furious tells the story of Brian O'Connor's escape from the police and the FBI. The film duration is not too long, but it is still very fun to watch. There is a fairly intense chase between Brian and members of the FBI.

9. 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)

In a state of penance for helping Dom escape, this time Brian gets a mission to erase his record. Brian invites Roman to help in his mission to uncover the evil of Verone. In the end, Roman Pearce is always present in every Fast and Furious film and becomes a permanent member of Dom's group.

8. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006)

This film was originally made as a spin-off of The Fast and the Furious, but it was connected to other Fast and Furious films in the end. Tells the story of a young boy with big guts named Sean who challenges Yakuza members to a drifting competition. Han, who by then had retired and settled in Tokyo, taught him to drift. In the end, Han died due to an accident that was made by Shaw.

7. Los Bandoleros (Film Pendek)

Just like the previous film which presents a short story but is still related to the Fast and Furious series. It tells the meeting story of Dom and Letty, who can be considered as an odd romance partner.

6. Fast & Furious (2009)

The story in this series is quite serious and has the theme of revenge, Dom tries to avenge Letty's death to the drug lord Braga. Brian felt guilty for allowing Letty to atone for Dom's sins which ended in death, finally Brian helped Dom to complete his revenge. Finally, Braga was arrested and Dom's criminal record was also erased.

5. Fast Five (2011)

In Fast Five, there is a new character named Hobbs, played by Dwayne Johnson. An FBI member who is after Dom but ends up supporting Dom to expose the corrupt practices of the Brazilian police. Of course, in this film, Dom manages to rob all the money belonging to a drug lord named Reyes while deceiving Hobbs.

4. Fast & Furious 6 (2013)

Planning to retire after robbing the cartels of millions of dollars, Dom has to get out of bed again to find out if Letty is still alive. Sure enough, Letty is still healthy but lost some of her memory which is then recruited by Owen Shaw. Joe Taslim also appeared in Fast & Furious 6.

3. Furious 7 (2015)

After capturing Owen Shaw and getting Letty back into the family, Dom again deals with Deckard Shaw, Owen Shaw's younger brother. In this film, there is also sad news of the death of Paul Walker which was caused by a fatal car accident.

2. The Fate of the Furious (2017)

Previously, Dom was close to Elena, a police officer from Brazil and it turned out that the woman was pregnant with Dom's child. Because of her past grudges, Cipher kidnapped Elena and her baby which led to Elena's death. Inevitably Dom must save his son and complete the mission given by Cipher and betray his own family. Of course, the way out is quite long and conflict after conflict must be passed.

1. Fast and Furious Present: Hobbs & Shaw (2019)

This film is not about Dom’s family, only Hobbs and Shaw who help each other on a dangerous mission. In Hobbs & Shaw, they both face terrorists who are ready to spread a dangerous virus and threaten humanity. Hobbs & Shaw looks more like a comedy film but does not reduce the action scenes from this film.
