After a year of speculation and hope, Riot Games has finally officially announced the next legendary figure to sit in the League of Legends Hall of Legends honorary chair. The name announced successfully stirred the memories of millions of players: Jian Uzi Zihao.

For many fans, Uzi's name is more than just a legend. He is a symbol of the golden era of ADC (Attack Damage Carry), who not only inspired professional players but also changed the way the ADC role is played and viewed around the world. And now, after Faker, it is Uzi's turn to be immortalized by Riot Games through a series of special content ranging from documentaries to exclusive in-game items, which will be fully released this coming June.

Why Is Uzi's Selection So Meaningful?

Uzi made his professional debut with Royal Club in 2012, a team that later became known as Royal Never Give Up (RNG). Since the beginning of his career, he was known as a "prodigy" who performed explosively on the international stage. Not a few players started playing ADC just because they wanted to be "like Uzi".

During his career, Uzi has won several LPL titles and one MSI trophy in 2018, but one trophy has always eluded him—the Worlds title. He made it to the finals twice, and twice he had to settle for runner-up. However, his reputation has never faded. His consistent resilience even when facing injuries has kept his name in the League of Legends community.

When Legends Take a Break

Uzi had tried to make a comeback with Bilibili Gaming and Edward Gaming, but health issues forced him to step down again. Now, through the Hall of Legends award, Riot seems to be giving the ADC king a fitting final stage.

More Than Just an Award

This isn’t just a trophy or a special skin. The Hall of Legends is a living museum, where the history and greatest contributions to League of Legends are immortalized. With Uzi as part of this roster, Riot is taking us all on a flashback to a time when LoL wasn’t just a competition, but also a story of humanity’s struggle against its own limitations.
