Speaking of the CODM World Championship Qualifiers, the writer, along with the Dunia Games team, had the chance to interview the coach of DG Esports, Dio Agung Wijanarko, better known as Dioxide, regarding the absence of Alif ‘Venom’ and Andhika ‘Clove’ in the big series which starts today.
Dio admitted that this issue has made DG Esports adjust the gameplay with the new players, such as the rotations.
"Whether we like it or not, we have to adjust the gameplay with the new players. For example, players like Arsyad 'Ventz' who more of a thinker, and Zana 'Zeze' has solid aim yet his movements are not as good as Dika 'Clove’s' or Alif 'Venom's’ who are unavailable. So, we have to adjust the scheme, some players have to be replaced.
They will take their role as best as they can. But for Arsyad, I feel that he’s quite similar to Dika. (He’s) not too far behind him. What’s different (between them) is perhaps their chemistry," he revealed during the interview.
Speaking of the players’ chemistry, Dioxide stated that he picked an additional roster from the DG Esports’ fans who have spent some time playing with Zen and teammates. Because, according to him, it’s the best way to get a solid team, considering they only have less than 2 weeks left.
"When we’re looking for a player, we weren’t looking for the most skillful player. I asked them straight away "who do you guys play with the most... " and the name just came up. In the end, I’m confident with the decision, we get the fans since we don’t have much time, it was less than 2 weeks," Dioxide revealed.
We hope that with the preparations made by Dio, DG Esports can make it through the qualifiers and represent Indonesia on the international stage. Give your support for Indonesia’s representatives using the hashtags #DGWin #SuperDG and #Indopride.
