It can be said that the DCEU is back in the spotlight because it opens its own multiverse and presents many stars in 1 movie at once in The Flash. This makes the fans curious, how many versions of the Superhero are present, one of which is Batman. In the comics themselves, there are quite a number of versions of Batman that have been visualized in a fairly dark genre.
The Dunia Games team will discuss several versions of Batman in the DC universe which are quite surprising. Let's see in more detail.
1. Batman Clone
In Batman: Last Knight on Earth, Alfred creates a clone of Bruce Wayne to face Omega, Bruce Wayne from the future. This Batman from Elseworld also gains superpowers and becomes an Omega, thanks to using Darkseid's head which is then applied to his body. Of course that makes Bruce as Batman very strong plus smart because he has Bruce Wayne's previous memories. Even so, he had to stay in Arkham Asylum, locked and alone, which was later trained by Alfred through a hologram.
2. Grim Reaper Batman
There is a version of Batman who is feared because he is an angel of death, the Grim Reaper. Batman is in the story Dark Knight: Death Metal, the multiverse story that was destroyed by Perpetua and Batman Who Laughs. Grim Reaper Batman is the best and strongest version, because he is armed with a scythe which is a weapon commonly used by angels of death with terrible damage. This version is also equipped with a motorcycle that can help him in action.
3. Batman/Superman
Not Batman and Superman, but a version of Batman with Superman powers. This version really existed in the Superman/Batman comic released in 2003. As for the story in the comic, Batman and Superman exchanged strength because they got a curse from the villain Silver Banshee. So in that way, Batman, who is still equipped with equipment, has superhuman strength like Superman, such as being able to fly to emit heat vision or other Superman powers.
4. Green Lantern Batman
Not only Superman has Batman's powers, in fact Green Lantern is also a superhero whose powers belong to Batman. Batman with the power of Green Lantern can be known as Green Lantern Batman, Batman who has the power to create solid green constructs that can be made into various kinds of weapons to shields. Batman, who can also fly and go to Oa, is in the Batman: In Darkest Knight story arc.
5. Batman White Lantern
Not stopping at being a superhero with other super powers, Batman also had another power from Green Lantern, the White Lantern. Batman White Lantern is in the story in the comic Batman Universe #5, where it is told that Batman was killed by Vandal Savage in Crime Alley. Then Batman comes back to life with the power of an ancient White Lantern which allows him to have the most powerful healing regeneration ability.
6. Pirate Batman
Like his nickname, this Batman is definitely a Batman who leans more towards pirates. This version exists on Earth 494, captain Leatherwing who becomes Bruce Wayne in the Batman story. Pirate Batman is a superhero operating in the Caribbean in the 18th century and is the captain of the Flying Fox. There's nothing particularly special about Batman in general, but he wears the cape and mask on purpose to avoid giving England and King James II a bad name.
7. Retired Batman
In the Kingdom Come story, Batman from Earth-22 manages to become a superhero who indirectly helps protect Gotham without getting involved in the action on the ground. That's because in that story, Bruce is said to be old and decides to retire as Batman. By relying on technology supported by an exoskeleton and the help of Lex Luthor, Bruce successfully carried out his duties as Gotham city inspector with technology and his Android.
8. Batmanhattan
Batmanhattan is the name of Batman which is a combination of Batman and Dr. Manhattan. This happened in Dark Nights: Death Metal, which stems from Bruce Wayne's failed discovery that Bruce Wayne's body and atoms detached and shattered and then reassembled. As a result Bruce then turned into Batmanhattan with the help of Batman Who Laughs who managed to move his brain into Batmanhattan's body. That makes him extremely dangerous and powerful, as this version has all of Dr. Manhattan.
9. Hellbat
This is actually armor, but even so Batman who wears this armor will turn into a better version than before. Hellbat is one of Batman's strongest armors. That's because he is made of nanoparticle mesh which allows Batman to change shape to give rise to wings to fly. Even become invisible that can be used to hide. Besides being able to slow down metabolism, the strength of this armor is quite powerful, because it can match Darkseid's strength when fighting.
10. The Merciless
He is a version of Bruce Wayne that turns out to be contrary to the original, the most terrible and most powerful evil version of Bruce or Batman. He's from Earth-12 who wasn't evil to begin with. That changed because he took Ares' helmet and used it. With the helmet, Bruce became evil and even instigated by strong influences, which in the end made Bruce decide to end his life after knowing that he had taken innocent lives.
11. Barbatos
Another version of Batman who is the leader of the Dark Knight, a vigilante group that contains Batman from various universes in evil versions. This happened in the story Dark Knight: Metal, with Batman known as Barbatos whose appearance is similar to that of a dragon created by World Forge. Barbatos has the ability to absorb energy, especially with his task of absorbing energy from a world that he feels can no longer be maintained. This energy will later be used by World Forge to build other worlds.
12. Nazi Batman
The version of Batman from Earth-10 named Leatherwing. This Batman appears in an alternative reality where the universe presents Nazi Germany who has won the battle of the second world war. Although not a good Batman, he is the best version in terms of strength. He doesn't have super powers, but he is the best in terms of physique, that's because this Batman has the highest physical condition.
13. The Grim Knight
The Batman who appeared in the miniseries The Batman Who Laughs, was chosen by the Batman Who Laughs by combining the Grim Knights as his troops. This version is actually not the same as other Batman versions, that's because the Grim Knight does not undergo mutations or experience increased strength in line with Batman. The hallmark of this version is the use of firearms and other weapons which are even more dangerous than Batman in general.
14. The Drowned
The evil-female version of Batman from Earth-11. This version exists because Batman and Aquawoman had offered peace between their peoples which ended in failure. The failure of these negotiations even led to a declaration of war that occurred. That made Bryce join the fight against Aquawoman and all its inhabitants, who then succeeded in ending Aquawoman's life, and finally joined the Dark Knights, a vigilante group led by Albatross.
15. Batman Who Laughs
He's not a good Batman like a superhero, but the best in many ways, especially his strength and intelligence.
