Over the past few years, a Guitar Hero player named Schmooey was widely believed to be the best in the world, having impossible achievements by other gamers who played the game.

Unfortunately, a discovery made last year reveals the truth behind what Schmooey did. In the detailed 27-minute video below, Karl Jobst explains how Schmooey did have a suspicious performance.

Finally, the records of each of his achievements were revealed and the fact that his great performance was due to him cheating. Schmooey, who came to the attention of society as a teenager, was for many years considered the best in the world. Not only did he finish the songs that put other people in trouble, he did it with incredible speed.

Over the years, he made several thousand dollars. Sure, some of his videos have questionable odd moments and it's eventually discovered that he's cheating.

Until December 2021, when Schmooey uploaded one of the songs, Patterns of Eternal Pain. While the start is impressive, given the complexity and speed of the ending, some gamers find things suspicious.

For starters, there's the part where Schmooey's hand doesn't hit the notes on the guitar being played on the screen. Then there's a strange moment at the very end of the video, where a Windows Media Player overlay appears, leading other players to accuse him of faking the video by using a pre-recorded video in the live stream.

After continuous self-defense, he finally admitted that some of his videos had been faked, even though the rest were genuine. The other players weren't convinced, and now that they knew what to look for, they went through all of Schmooey's uploads and found that nearly all of them (about 100 videos) were fake.

The cheats he commits use quite a number of techniques from splicing footage to playing games at a slower speed and then speeding up videos.

Finally Schmooey posted an apology video on January 15, after that he deleted all his uploads, locked his social accounts and disappeared from the community. On top of that he also paid back all the gifts he had received over the years.

The problem is that Schmooey has become an active member of the community, and has attended live events and played with fellow players like CarneyJared. Of course, this is very unfortunate.
