The official website for the live-action film adaptation of Golden Kamuy based on Satoru Noda's adventure manga announced that popular voice actor Kenjiro Tsuda will be joining the live action film as the film's narrator. Tsuda has voiced Hyakunosuke Ogata in the anime series Golden Kamuy since 2018.

The site wrote, "At the preview event held a few days ago, Tsuda's voice could be heard as soon as the film started, and the entire venue was filled with screams of surprise. Be sure to check out Tsuda-san's attractive low-pitched voice, which is very different from Ogata in TV anime series, in theater!

Kenjiro Tsuda himself commented, “To be honest, I was very hesitant to participate. I had played the role of Hyakunosuke Ogata in the anime version, and I wondered if I would disrupt the worldview of the live-action version by telling the story. Will I be confusing? I thought about a lot of things," Tsuda said.

“But at the same time, I think that ‘Golden Kamuy’ has the power and scale to remove such small details. The work is a mix of seriousness and comedy, good and bad, and flows with powerful energy. So it's okay. It should swallow everything and emit intense light. And most of all, I love Gorden Kamuy. I feel very honored to be able to participate in the narrative this time. Don't worry too much about the details, go to the theater. I'm sure you guys will enjoy it.” said Kenjiro Tsuda enthusiastically about his role in this live action project.

The live action film itself is scheduled to be broadcast on January 19, 2024. The other main cast in this film involves a number of talented actors and actresses, such as Kento Yamazaki as Saichi Sugimoto, Anna Yamada as Asirpa, Gordon Maeda as Hyakunosuke Ogata, and many more. The list of actors in this film promises an engaging and thrilling adaptation for fans of Golden Kamuy.

The film is directed by Shigeaki Kubo under the production company CREDEUS. The film's script was written by Tsutomu Kuroiwa, while Yutaka Yamada was responsible for the music composition, respectively. Hiroshi Nakagawa and Debo Akibe were tasked with overseeing Ainu culture, ensuring the accuracy of the Ainu culture that paint the Golden Kamuy.
