Kage is a position that is held by the leader of 5 Hidden Villages: Konohagakure, Sunagakure, Kumogakure, Kirigakure, and Iwagakure. As the leader of the village, surely all ninjas who serve as the Kage have immense power and far superior to common ninjas.

Now let’s take a look at the appearance of all Kages; from the early generations to latest generations; from all 5 villages.

Hokage - Konohagakure Village

Hashirama Senju: The founder of Konohagakure and the hidden village system. Has the rare wood element powers.

Tobirama Senju: Younger brother of Hashirama who serves as the second Hokage after his brother. Master of the water element and the creator of Kage Bunshin, Edo Tensei, dan and Flying Thunder God.

Hiruzen Sarutobi: Appointed as a Hokage after the death of Tobirama towards the end of the First Shinobi World War. Known as Shinobi God and the Professor, and known as the strongest Kage from all village in his time.

Minato Namikaze: Hiruzen’s successor. He’s a genius ninja who mastered Flying Thunder God and various fuinjutsu (sealing techniques). Died sacrificing himself to save Konoha from Tobi and Nine-Tailed beast attack.

Tsunade: Granddaughter of Hashirama and the member of Sannin Ninja Trio who revolutionized the medical ninjutsu. Appointed as a Hokage after the death of Hiruzen.

Kakashi Hatake: Known as “Kakashi the Copy Ninja” and said to mastered 1.000 techniques. Appointed as a Hokage after Tsunade steps down.

Naruto Uzumaki: The Jinchuuriki of 9 Tailed Beast and the hero of the Fourth Shinobi World War. Known as the strongest Hokage at this time.

Mizukage – Kirigakure Village

Byakuren: The founder of Kirigakure village

Gengetsu Hozuki: A member of the Hozuki clan who can turn himself into water. 

The Third Mizukage: Byakuren’s assistant who later appointed as a Mizukage.

Yagura: Jinchuuriki of 3 Tailed Beast, Isobu. Yagura reigns with cold blood and called Kirigakure as “The Bloody Mist Village”.

Mei Terumi: The first female Kage. Master of Lava element. Beautiful but it looks she’s single for the rest of her life.

Chojuro: Mei’s assistant and an ex-member of 7 Legendary Swordsmen. Holds a chakra sword Hiramekarei as his main weapon.

Kazekage - Tsunagakure Village

Reto: The first Kazekage and the founder of Sunagakure. It is said that his power can combine all dessert people to unite under his rule. Killed by an assassin.

Shamon: Reto’s Assistant. He sparks the growth of Sunagakure military power by developing ninja puppets and researching on Shukaku’s power, the One-tailed beast. Also killed by an assassin.

The Third Kazekage: According to the legend, he’s the strongest Kazekage of all time due to his ability to control Magnet element and iron sand. Died on Akatsuki’s hands.

Rasa: Gaara’s father who was famous due to his Golden Sand ability. Shukaku often gets mad during his reign. Died on Orochimaru’s hands.

Gaara: Once considered as a monster because he serves as Jinchuuriki of One-Tailed Beast. Then he chooses to be Kazakage to protect those people he loves. It’s common if Kazekage doesn’t live a happy life, Gaara once died due to the attack by Akatsuki.

Raikage - Kumogakure Village

A: The founder of Kumogakure who always ends his sentence with “yo.” Has an unyielding attitude. During his reign, he’s known as humble and make a peace treaty with Konohagakure.

He’s also called as the strongest Raikage ever existed, A has mastered the Black Thunder technique who can penetrate almost all kinds of defense. Added with his body which is dubbed as “impenetrable defense”, he can fight against 1.000 ninjas and tailed beast alone.

The Son of Third Raikage and Killer B’s partner, also known as Eight tailed beast Jinchuriki. Utilizing Electric element from short-range and fighting style akin to a pro wrestler. Has short temper.

Darui: The Fourth Raikage’s assistant. He was taught the legendary Black Thunder technique by the Third Raikage.

Tsuchikage - Iwagakure Village

Ishikawa: The first to develop Keijugan no Jutsu, an Earth Element which allows users to fly. As a member of the Kamizuru Clan, he can also control bugs.

Mu: Has a nickname “Inhuman” because he can erase his traces -- not only in form but even his chakra cannot be detected. The first to develop Kekkei Tota Dust Element which can destroy everything on impact.

Onoki: Ishikawa’s grandchildren and Mu’s pupil. Master of Dust Element and Keijugan no Jutsu. Like Hiruzen, Onoki manages to reign until old age.

Kurotsuchi: Onoki’s grandchildren. A master of Kenjutsu, Taijutsu, and also said the strongest genjutsu user among the other 5 Kages during his time of reign.
