Netflix recently released its latest hit animated series, Lookism, which was adapted from the South Korean webtoon/manhwa of the same name by Park Tae-joon. The series follows high school student Daniel Park when he discovers he can switch between bodies in which a person is deemed more "attractive" than he actually is.
This is not the first time Netflix has successfully adopted a webtoon from South Korea. Two years earlier, Crunchyroll developed S.I.U.'s work, the very famous Tower of God. Talking about webtoons, there are still webtoons that deserve an anime adaptation. Curious? Here's the full review!
Bastard
Besides Sweet Home, this is another top thriller from one of the most popular Webtoon writers, Carnby Kim. In Bastard, no monsters come from outer space. Instead, monsters actually hide and live side by side with humans.
There are no sci-fi or fantasy tropes, as this story is simply about a boy who has a serial killer father. It's a simple premise, but its complex characters and angst-inducing sequences would make it one of the most exciting anime to watch if adapted.
Surviving Romance
Horror is one genre that can be combined with other genres. Surviving Romance is the same way, because this story has elements of romance in it but as the story progresses it experiences dramatic plot changes.
Surviving Romance could easily become a fan favorite for those interested in a big twist. The cool thing is, if it is adapted, the genre of this story is also an Isekai that many fans love.
Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint
In this series, we will see someone who knows how the world ends. Kim Dokja is a typical salaryman with a mysterious past, but what sets him apart from the rest is that he's the only one who has read The Three Ways To Survive the Apocalypse to the end.

This gives him a chance to survive when the real apocalypse comes. With this unique point of view, real readers will be deeply involved with what's going on in it. There are many elements of tension that occur in this webtoon.
Villain To Kill
Betrayed by a hero organization that he would bet his life on, Cassian Lee finds himself reincarnated into a Korean high school student who has the potential to bring about the end of the world.
Although it may appear to be isekai-like, Villain To Kill can still appeal to those who are also fans of both shounen and seinen. The series can captivate potential viewers with its in-depth study of what separates heroes from villains.
The World After The Fall
Another series from singNsong, The World After The Fall answers the question of whether there ever was a Korean variation of One Punch Man. Although at the beginning of the story this series has a gloomy story tone, as time goes by this begins to change.
For fans of the fantasy genre, this seems to be what they're looking for. Even though it's not very similar to OPM, when it comes to action, this webtoon will quench your thirst if it's actually adapted into an anime.
Marry My Husband
If anyone were to have a second chance at life, it would be easy to assume that they would do things differently to ensure a more positive outcome for their future.
After they are killed by those they think are closest to them, the protagonist of the series is given a second chance and returns to the past. This is amazing and especially exciting when you see how second chances will be used.
The Last Bloodline
The vampire fantasy will never die, and it really does. One of the interesting series is The Last Bloodline which can make readers curious. This series will tell about Mallory's character who is in the center of vampire conflict.
Even though it is classified as a new series with less than 10 chapters, it still receives extraordinary attention as a newcomer to the webtoon. If it's ever adapted, it could possibly rival Netflix's Castlevania series.
