Yveltal “the Destruction Pokemon” has arrived in Pokemon GO for the first time. The Legendary Gen VI Aura Trio Pokemon from Kalos Region will challenge Pokemon GO Trainers as the new Tier 5 Raid Boss until June 1. Yveltal is of the Dark & Flying-type with 45,899 CP as the Raid Boss.

The best attack types to counter Yveltal are Electric, Rock, Ice, and Fairy types. You will get a Super Effective boost of 160% with these types.

While Dark-type Pokemon are susceptible against Fighting and Bug, since Yveltal is also a Flying-type, those types won’t be that effective against it. The best Pokemon counters for Yveltal are Zekrom, Therian Thundurus, Raikou, Electivire (Electric); Rampardos, Rhyperior (Rock); Mamoswine, Galarian Darmanitan (Ice); and Togekiss (Fairy).

Two Trainers with good lineups of Pokemon will be able to take on Yveltal. But, just to be sure, fight it in a team of 5 Trainers.

If you manage to beat Yveltal, you will have the chance to capture it with a CP between 2,073-2,160. During Foggy or Windy weather boost, it will be Level 25 with 2,591-2,701 CP.

Use Golden Razz Berries and try to get an Excellent Throw to improve the chance of catching it. Yveltal has a wide range of movesets, making it a great addition for PvP Battles in the Master League.
