The Famous MLBB coach Bjorn "Zeys" Ong officially ended his career in the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2025 Esports World Cup after his team, Team Flash, failed to advance to the Knockout Stage on Sunday, July 27, 2025. Zeys's retirement was confirmed via his Instagram account.

Zeys's retirement wasn't a sudden announcement by the coach; he had been planning it for a while. His "final journey" with Team Flash yielded a memorable experience, winning MPL Singapore Season 9 (MPL SG S9) and leading Team Flash to compete in the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup.

Having started his career in 2019, Zeys has already achieved numerous achievements in the competitive MLBB scene. Starting with EVOS, he led the White Tigers to victory in the MLBB M1 World Championship in 2019.

Furthermore, he also led the Indonesian MLBB National Team to victory in the 2022 MLBB IESF World Esports Championship before taking a break and returning to his career by joining Team Flash for the competitive season in early 2025. It's truly been an extraordinary journey.

What was Zeys' statement about his decision to retire from the competitive MLBB scene? Read the full review below.

Zeys Retires From the Competitive MLBB Scene, Expresses Gratitude to Team Flash

On Sunday, July 27, 2025, Team Flash faced Aurora Turkiye for the final spot in the Knockout Stage of the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup. Previously, Team Flash had successfully stopped the progress of the Chinese team, DianFengYaoGuai (DFYG), to survive to the Decider Match.

Despite being behind in Game 1, Team Flash managed to fight back and win Game 2. However, Aurora Turkiye ultimately managed to stop Team Flash and advance to the Knockout Stage. Team Flash was ultimately eliminated, and Zeys ultimately retired, ending his career in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Zeys posted a message on his Instagram account regarding his retirement from the competitive MLBB scene. He thanked the fans who had supported him and Team Flash, even though they were ultimately eliminated due to several personal mistakes.

Zeys also emphasized that returning to Team Flash after a break was a journey he was grateful for, and that he had a wonderful time working with them. Ultimately, Zeys's decision to retire was a decision the renowned coach would truly make to continue the dream he was building.

"Thank you guys for all the support. We could've gone further but in the end, we made mistakes as a team and lost to ourselves," Zeys said. "I came out of retirement for a season to join Team Flash, and I'm grateful for the journey, It was fun grinding with the boys again," Zeys added.

"But now, it's time to step away for good. I've been reminded why I chose to retire in the first place: to dedicate my full time and energy to building my dreams and making them a reality. I'm officially retired," he stated.

Finally, he thanked all the Team Flash crew who had been with him throughout the season, as well as Team Flash CEO Mark Chew for their trust in him.

"Thank you, Lolsie, Adammir, Hadess, KurtTzy, JPL, Kennn, Diablo. And thank you, Mark," he concluded.
