A fight between Zoro vs. Pica maybe become the most thrilling yet awesome fight in Dressrosa aside Luffy vs. Doflamingo. Apart from showing overpowered Zoro, there is also a pearl of wisdom from Mihawk, which is very cool if you listen to it carefully. Overpowered Zoro

When his fight against Pica, Zoro already mastered Busoshoku Haki so he can penetrate Pica’s defense who is seen using Devil Fruit. During their first meeting, Zoro made trapped in a labyrinth created by Ishi Ishi no Mi and making Zoro have to lose so many times because he has to find a way out from that place.

But during their second encounter, Zoro shows his power, which is immense by slashing Pica, which took shape in a giant rock into two half. Zoro can do it due to his imbued sword with Busoshoku Haki. Zoro can cut a sturdy and large body like Pica’s even covered in rock. 

Pica decides to stay in the battlefield and challenging Zoro in a duel, also covering himself with Busoshoku Haki, making him sturdier. But Zoro, who has trained so hard, manages to cut the body covered by Haki with Sanzen Sekai.

All people who see the fight and Pica’s losing make everyone shocked because everyone surprised that Zoro can defeat that giant.

It looks like Pice serves as the rival for Vice-Captain of Straw Hat Pirates. By defeating an adversary as strong as Pica, Zoro is one step ahead to become the strongest swordsman in the world.

At the peak of the fight before Zoro fights Pica, he remembers his past when he’s talking with Mihawk. Zoro, who was very arrogant, can be trounced by Mihawk with only a knife. Zoro who doesn’t let his pride to fall, he chooses to die in Mihawk’s hands.

Looking at Zoro’s determination, Mihawk doesn’t want to kill him. Instead, he wants Zoro to grow stronger to become the stronger swordsman and finally fight him. “Know yourself, know the world, become stronger! Try to fight me, Roronoa Zoro!”, and that was a word of wisdom said by Mihawk to Zoro after being defeated. 

After the defeat, Zoro introspects himself and always remember those words to not make himself an arrogant person. He swears to not experience loss anymore before meeting Mihawk. This scene is very cool for many One Piece fans that can make them chills.

Pica, who is very arrogant because saying that Zoro’s Haki is not his match, can be defeated by Sanzen Sekai. It shows that Zoro already takes notes Mihawk’s wisdom when they meet for the first time and worthy of becoming the strongest swordsman in the world as well as the Vice-Captain of the Pirate King.
