Since 2010, YouTube has regularly uploaded videos of annual reviews of the biggest moments every year. These moments include the creators, videos, or trends with the most impact that year. However, YouTube has clarified that in 2020, there will be no "YouTube Rewind".
In an upload on Twitter, YouTube said that 2020 has been different. They feel it would be wrong to make a YouTube Rewind as if everything was all right. Perhaps what they’re trying to refer to is the COVID-19 pandemic that occurs all around the world.
However, at the end of the message, YouTube said that 2020 still has a lot of great moments created by YouTube creators and users. YouTube ends the message by showing their gratefulness for everyone who has made the year (2020) better.
YouTube Rewind is an annual event by YouTube which and collaborates numerous content creators around the world in one video. These videos compile various memorable moments during the whole year, including trends and events that have become the most memorable moments for YouTube viewers.
