The "Encouragement of Climb: Next Summit Autumn Fes 2022" event announced on Sunday, October 2, 2022 that the Encouragement of Climb: Next Summit anime will have a console game and it is currently in production. The game's theme song is "Hanauta Step."

Encouragement of Climb: Next Summit is the latest anime series based on the manga Encouragement of Climb (Yama no Susume). Encouragement of Climb: Next Summit will premiere on October 4, 2022, and HIDIVE will stream the anime as each new episode airs in Japan.

Fans new to the franchise will get to know the universe of Encouragement of Climb through a selection of compilation episodes that reintroduce fan-favorite characters and favorite moments from the series. The next episode contains a new story that continues the story of Aoi and her ambition to overcome her fears and achieve her dreams.

The anime series will have 12 episodes, each episode lasting 30 minutes. Encouragement of Climb: Next Summit will be the first time for the Encouragement of Climb franchise to have full-length episodes, as previous seasons only had episodes of 15 minutes long. The first four episodes of this new anime will be a compilation of the previous anime series episodes with new short stories added. However, episode five onwards will have an updated story.

Emiri Iwai plays a new character named Koharu, the head of the red-haired mountain climbing club at the same school as Aoi.
