The One Piece News Livestream -News Coo Online- revealed on Monday, March 28, 2022, a new game for the One Piece franchise entitled One Piece Odyssey for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. One Piece Odyssey will be released in 2022. The live stream revealed the trailer for One Piece Odyssey, featuring the new character as well.

ILCA (Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl) developed One Piece Odyssey, and Bandai Namco Entertainment produced the game. One Piece manga creator Eiichiro Oda is credited for the original story and the character and monster designs. Motoi Sakuraba (Tales of series) is composing the music.

One Piece centers on Monkey D. Luffy, an aspiring pirate who, like many other pirates, dreams of obtaining the legendary treasure called "One Piece" left by the pirate king Gol D. Roger.

He assembles a crew and roams the Grand Line in search of treasure, also encountering rival pirates and government navies along his adventures.

The ongoing One Piece anime adaptation premiered in 1999. The anime's 1,000th episode was released in November 2021. The franchise also has a new anime film titled One Piece Film Red set for release on August 6, 2022.
