A credible Genshin Impact leaker recently revealed some info regarding the two upcoming elemental reactions that will cover the new element: Dendro, which is expected to make an arrival along with the Sumeru region. On Twitternya, the leaker shared info about the new reactions Overgrown and Intensified.

According to the leak, the effects are:

1. Intensified

An elemental reaction triggered by the Dendro-Electro combination. The reaction drops one Electro particle and increases both of these Elemental Damage types for 7 seconds.

2. Overgrown

An elemental reaction triggered by the Dendro-Hydro combination. Seeds are dropped on the floor which then turns into mushrooms. Applying additional Hydro damage will cause them to explode, inflicting AoE Dendro damage.

Genshin Intel (the leaker) also revealed that the new elemental reaction will not trigger with the three Genshin Impact elements (Geo, Anemo, and Cryo). If Dendro meets Pyro, then the 'Burning' reaction will be triggered and burn nearby foliages and even inflict some damage to the player’s character. But this effect generates higher Pyro Damage. Yet it’s likely that this elemental effect will receive some adjustments later on.

So far, there are 7 elements in Genshin Impact: Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, Anemo, Electro, Geo, and Dendro. But only 6 elements that the characters in the game can use. As for Dendro, there’s only one known character who possesses the vision of the Dendro element: Baizhu, an NPC owner of the Bubu Pharmacy in Genshin Impact.

HoYoverse is yet to confirm the release date of the first Dendro character. Some reports say that this element and a character will likely arrive in Genshin Impact 3.0 update alongside the long-awaited Sumeru region.
