Just like his father, Boruto is very strong, but he has been a genius since his childhood. His intelligence is seen in Boruto 243 when Boruto participated in preparing a war strategy against the Funato clan pirates.
In addition, Boruto Uzumaki also has a rebellious nature and some mysterious abilities that set him apart from his parents as well as the other ninjas around him. Are you curious about Boruto? Check out the latest and amazing facts about Boruto Uzumaki from Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.
1. Adult Boruto Becomes the Guardian of Konoha
The story of Boruto begins in the future, showing the destroyed Konoha Village and the more mature Boruto Uzumaki trying to protect the village from Kawaki, a cruel shinobi. In their fight, the older Boruto looked serious and determined to continue to be the protector of his village.
2. Boruto Has The Mysterious Jougan
The young Boruto Uzumaki has a mysterious eye that no one knows about. Instead of having Byakugan based on his family lineage, Boruto awakened the power of Jougan at the age of eight. Jougan is great at finding weaknesses, revealing hidden secrets, and targeting chakra pathways.
These eyes give Boruto information that no one else knows and give him a huge advantage in battle. Even Naruto didn't quite understand the Jougan, though. The only people who seem to know about the eyes are members of the mysterious and extremely dangerous Otsutsuki clan.
3. Naruto's Negligence as a Father Greatly Affected His Behavior
As a father, Naruto was completely negligent of his family. Because he was so busy working as Hokage, Naruto was not present at his son's birthday party, instead sending emails instead of talking directly to his children, and Naruto was often absent from his family life. The few times he talked to Boruto, they got into a fight.
Naruto may think his children can be strong from his neglect as a father, but in fact Naruto's behavior greatly affects Boruto. The more he feels neglected, angry, and unimportant, the more stubborn, rebellious, and lazy Boruto becomes. Boruto has done a lot to try to get his father's attention.
4. Boruto's Name has Something to do with Neji's Name
Although most people think Boruto's name is similar to his father's name, Naruto, actually Boruto's name is related to other family members. The family member is Boruto's uncle, Neji Hyuga. The name Neji means "screw" in Japanese, and Boruto means "bolt" in English spoken in Japanese.
Originally, his name was "Menma" or "Shinachiku," which means seasoned bean root. The name must be related to his father's name, Naruto, which comes from a fish-based snack placed on top of a ramen dish.
5. Boruto's Favorite Food is Burger
While Naruto is obsessed with ramen, Boruto prefers burgers. As a kid who loves burgers, Boruto Uzumaki dares to try burgers with whatever flavors are served in front of him. He and his friends also often gather at a burger restaurant in Konoha.
6. Boruto Really Cares About Hinata and Himawari's Feelings
Even though he can be very selfish at times, Boruto Uzumaki really cares about the people he loves. He sneaked out of Konoha to try to find Mitsuki, and he also disobeyed orders to help his kidnapped friend. To his mother and younger sister, Boruto will do anything to protect them.
For example, when Boruto rebelled against Naruto, Boruto was very angry when Naruto was not present on Himawari's birthday. Instead of coming to his daughter's birthday, Naruto sent his kage bunshin. Boruto tells his own father about how bad the thing he did to Himawari was.
7. Boruto Doesn't Care About Girls Who Have a Crush on Him
In Boruto, it was revealed that Sumire and Sarada have a crush on Boruto Uzumaki. However, the young and innocent Boruto is not very interested in romantic relationships. Although Boruto's intelligence and friendliness can make girls like him, Boruto is more focused on friendship and his own ninja way. There might be some women who have a crush on him, but still Boruto doesn't care.
8. Boruto Can Modify Rasengan
Rasengan is a move created by Minato, perfected by Naruto, and now being studied by Boruto. This move is passed down from generation to generation. After spending time with Konohamaru learning the basics of the Rasengan, Boruto uses the move with Sasuke to modify it.
Boruto Uzumaki adds lightning to his Rasengan to make it more unique. Even as he learns his father's old tricks, Boruto is determined to make this move stronger than ever.
9. Boruto Gets Perfect Scores On The Chunin Written Exam
Although Boruto is very similar to his father, because he is stubborn and strong, the two are very different. Unlike his father, he has an innate knowledge of ninja arts. Even though Naruto only has strength, Boruto has the strength and brain to execute his abilities and anticipate his opponents.
In the Chunin Exams, Naruto as a child did not answer a single question on the written test. Unlike his father, Boruto answered every question correctly in the writing section, although that is not the point of this exam test.
10. Boruto Really Wants to Erase His Karma Seal
The Karma seal is an ominous mystery and appears in the hands of Boruto Uzumaki. At first, Boruto did accept it, but he remained wary of that seal. However, once he meets Kawaki, he learns that the signs of Karma are far more dangerous and sinister. He got it from the Otsutsuki clan, but Kawaki was given his Karma mark from the deaths of many people.
After that, Boruto has a goal to eliminate Karma. Boruto isn't too interested in keeping that Karma mark constantly in his hands. However, that goal is unlikely to succeed, as Boruto still has the mark of Karma in his future trailer scenes as an adult.

11. Boruto Is Great At Spotting Other People's Weaknesses
Boruto Uzumaki's Jougan grants him an eye with a unique ability. However, Jougan can see chakra flows, negative energies, secrets, and make him an expert in finding other people's weaknesses. This gives Boruto a huge advantage in any battle given that he knows the weaknesses of almost all of his opponents. In his battle with Nue, the ability to find Nue’s flaws was invaluable.
In a world full of ninjas and enemies who like to strike by surprise, the ability to see weaknesses and opportunities in a battle with others is very important. That makes Boruto a shinobi on a different level.
12. Boruto Can't Awaken His Byakugan Due To Masashi Kishimoto's Negligence
By far, the most defining feature of the Hyuga clan is their Byakugan. This eye power allows them to see chakra flow, pressure points, and much more. This power is unlike that of other clans and makes the Hyuga clan very strong. Hinata the mother, Hanabi the aunt, and Himawari the little sister Boruto have Byakugan. In theory, Boruto should also be able to awaken his Byakugan eyes.
However, Boruto Uzumaki doesn't have the Byakugan simply because Boruto's creator, Masashi Kishimoto, forgot to resurrect it by the time the story reaches page 700. Maybe Boruto will eventually use the Byakugan's eye powers, but that won't be happening anytime soon.
13. Boruto Is Very Afraid Of Himawari
On the day of Naruto's upcoming Hokage inauguration ceremony, Himawari fights with Boruto over her teddy bear. When Boruto rips off the doll’s arm, Himawari gets so angry that it awakens her Byakugan. The scared Boruto ran away from his sister until, by accident, Himawari knocked out Naruto.
From then on, Boruto played the role of a strong and protective older brother. However, deep down Boruto knows Himawari's terrifying power and is afraid to accidentally anger his sister.
14. He Hates His Status as the Hokage’s Son
Throughout Konoha Village, the locals know Boruto as the son of the hero Naruto and their Hokage. This gives him a lot of special treatment, but Boruto doesn't really care about that. After all, Boruto and his father don't get along very well.
However, outside of Konoha Village, his status as the son of a Hokage sometimes gives Boruto trouble. For example, when Boruto Uzumaki paid a visit to the Land of Water, Boruto met Tsurushi Hachiya, who thought he was a spoiled brat simply because of his lineage as the son of the village head of Konoha. That makes Hachiya attack Boruto.
15. Boruto Dreams of Becoming Like Sasuke
Before meeting the mysterious Sasuke Uchiha, Boruto Uzumaki did not meet the adult figure he liked. Most of them frustrate or disappoint Boruto, with the worst adult figure being his own father. However, when Sasuke returns to Konoha Village, Boruto admires his skills, his bond with Sarada even though Sasuke is long gone, and much more.
Quickly, Boruto demands that Sasuke be his teacher. Sasuke also agreed. Since then Boruto's new goal is to become an elite ninja like Sasuke.
16. Boruto's Karma Connects Him to Kawaki
In the beginning, Karma was just a dangerous and mysterious new power that Boruto possessed. That power is awakened when there are dangerous conditions that require Boruto to increase his abilities.
However, when the Konoha ninja find Kawaki, things get more complicated. Boruto and Kawaki quickly realized that their Karma was connected when one of them used it and the other felt pain, as if the mark was drawing strength from the other person. From then on, Boruto really wanted to be able to release his Karma.
17. Boruto Aligns His Dreams With Sarada
When Boruto begins, Boruto Uzumaki's only goal is not to become an adult like his father. He just wanted to find his own ninja way. However, as time goes on, Boruto admires Sasuke Uchiha and his secret mission to protect Konoha. Furthermore, Boruto grows closer to Sasuke's daughter, Sarada, and learns to admire Sarada's ideals of protecting Konoha as a Hokage as well.
From then on, Boruto decided that Sarada would become Hokage in the future. Boruto desperately wants to pass the Chunin Exams to help Sarada's career further. Due to their aligned goals, Boruto forever binds himself to the new heir of the Uchiha clan.
18. Boruto's Fate Is Tied With The Otsutsuki Clan
Between his Karma and Jougan, Boruto Uzumaki has a lot of power that comes from the Otsutsuki clan, a mysterious and very dangerous group of people. With his Jougan awakening after having a vision with Toneri, and the Karma bestowed by Momoshiki Otsutsuki, Otsutsuki's power is fused with Boruto's own abilities.
19. Boruto Is More Loyal to His Friends Than The Shinobi
Even though Boruto joins the shinobi side like his father and grandfather, Boruto is not as dedicated to his ninja way. More than once, Boruto Uzumaki has disobeyed orders and even left the village to protect his loved ones, despite the rules the shinobi gave him. When Mitsuki leaves Konoha, Boruto doesn't hesitate to go after his friend and teammate.
20. Boruto Using A Combination Of Sasuke And Naruto’s Abilities
As the story progresses, Boruto Uzumaki has grown rapidly as a ninja. His fans have watched his abilities develop and create more powerful tactics. However, for the fans who have watched his growth closely, they have noticed something interesting: his moves are a perfect blend of Sasuke's and Naruto's styles.
Boruto does rely on wind release and shadow clones like his father, even learning to do the Rasengan. However, he also leaned on what he learned from Sasuke. More than his father ever did, Boruto uses secret weapons, swords, and lightning-release moves. This combination of powers has created a lightning-charged Rasengan and a shadow clone of the kage bunshin that throws a secret weapon.
