Nintendo released several trailers and commercials for the game Pokémon Legends: Arceus for Nintendo Switch. The Pokémon Legends: Arceus gameplay teaser shows the game environment, riding Pokémon, catching Pokémon, and the Pokédex. Pokemon Legends: Arceus will launch worldwide for Nintendo Switch consoles on January 28, 2022.
The game will be set in the Hisui region, the ancient Sinnoh region that previously served as the setting for Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. Players will join the Galaxy Expeditionary Team Survey Corps in Jubilife Village to start surveying and researching Pokémon. Players can ride Pokémon and craft items, but are vulnerable to attacks by wild Pokémon while on the field. The game will also feature a customizable Pokémon Trainer.
The game will add a new Pokémon called Wyrdeer, an evolution of Stantler. There is also the Basculegion, an evolution of the Basculin. As well as Kleavor, the evolution of Scyther. The game will also introduce the Hisuian forms of Braviary, Growlithe, Zorua, Zoroark, and Voltorb.
A Pokémon can be caught by throwing a Pokéball at it. However, some Pokémon will try to escape or attack. Pokémon Legends: Arceus will feature an open 3D style reminiscent of the Wild Area in Pokémon Sword and Shield. The story will also involve the Mythical Pokémon Arceus.
