This mighty hunter may not be well known to many, but readers of the Spider-Man comic books know Kraven as one of Spider-Man's greatest and most dangerous villains.
Kraven The Hunter has been a threat on the side of Spider-Man supporters from the very beginning, and his solo film is an indication not only of the character's importance but also of his future value to the Spider-Man franchise. Kraven has been a big part of Spider-man's past in the comic books and looks to be a big part of his future as well. 1. Spider-Man’s Equal in Strength and Ability
Kraven The Hunter was born an ordinary human, but he has made himself a superhuman through the consumption of rare poisons and tropical potions. As he builds immunity to this poison, he develops his superhuman strength, stamina, and agility. This puts him on a par with Spider-man in terms of his physical abilities.
Kraven is also a very skilled marksman as well as a hand-to-hand combatant, with a true hunter mentality that makes him highly capable in any battle. He is one of the coolest villains in the Spider-man story, and also one of the most dangerous villains.
2. He is The Villain in Early Spider-Man Comic
Comic book fans know that Kraven The Hunter was one of Spider-man's earliest foes. Created by comic strip legends Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, Kraven first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #15 in August 1964, just one issue after the debut of popular villain Green Goblin.
Kraven is the alter ego of Sergei Kravinoff, a renowned hunter from Russia who sets his next target on Spider-man after achieving what he considers to be the greatest success in his sport of hunting. Kraven is going to be very frustrated trying to catch and kill Spider-man for decades to come, because he's having so much trouble.
3. One of The Founder of Sinister Six
If Kraven The Hunter himself is a dangerous enough villain, but being with the Sinister Six he is even more dangerous than acting alone. Kraven is a founding member of the supervillain team called the Sinister Six. They first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man Annual #1, as part of Doctor Octopus' plot to take revenge on Spider-man.
Kraven unleashes a set of beasts, three tigers, to fight Spider-man when the rest of the Sinister Six team capture Aunt May and Betty Brant. With Kraven and other members of the Sinister Six already appearing on the big screen, a live-action Sinister Six movie is likely to be realized as well.
4. There is a Stronger Variant of Kraven
Kraven The Hunter is one of the most powerful members of the Sinister Six, but he is not the most powerful of the other versions of himself. The multiverse is likely to be a major aspect of the Spider-man film, and has been revealed in the comics and even in the big-screen version as well. There are many other versions of Kraven from various alternate realities.
Some of it comes from the Spider-Verse angle from the comics that featured Spider-Gwen, such as the steampunk version of Kraven from Earth-803. There's the Ultimate Comics version of Kraven from the early 2000s, as well as the Victorian-style Kraven from the Marvel Noir universe.
5. The Chameleon’s Half-Brother
Kraven The Hunter has strong bonds with nearly every major member of Spider-man's foes. His strongest bond is with The Chameleon. Kraven is the half-brother of Dmitri Smerdyakov, a master villain in disguise. The Chameleon first appeared in the first issue of The Amazing Spider-Man comics in 1963, as the comic book's main villain.
The Chameleon will continue to be a huge threat to Spider-man as his half-brother Kraven. Moreover, from the very beginning The Chameleon was the one who motivated Kraven to hunt down Spider-man.

6. He's Trying to Conquer Savage Land
Given the passion Kraven The Hunter had for the big hunt, it was no surprise that he ended up in Savage Land. The Savage Land is told the same as Skull Island in the movie King Kong, as a lost world where dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures still exist and live in this modern world.
In 1971's The Amazing Spider-Man #103, Kraven will try to conquer Savage Land and in his attempts to kidnap Gwen Stacy. He was defeated by Spider-man and Ka-Zar.
7. Kraven's Death Becomes One of the Most Heartbreaking Scenes in Spider-Man's Story
The story of Kraven The Hunter in Marvel comic books seems to end in one of the most shocking Spider-man stories ever. The story of Kraven's Last Hunt finally shows when the villain hunter drops Spider-man. A comic book storyline created in 1987 by writer J.M. DeMatteis and artist Mike Zeck shows Kraven capturing Spider-man and burying him alive.
Thinking Peter Parker is dead, Kraven puts on a fake black Spider-Man costume and hunts down the other villains. It ended up as a tragedy for Kraven. After Spider-man dug the ground to get out of his grave and made Kraven's victory moot, Kraven chose to take his own life in one of the most heartbreaking death scenes in Spider-man's saga.
8. Kraven Can Rise From The Dead
Comic stories can bring unexpected twists, Kraven The Hunter will not die forever. Another version of Karven replaces him in his absence, but in the storyline in 2009 comic, entitled The Gauntlet and Grim Hunt, the real Kraven is resurrected from the dead. His family brought him back through a mysterious ritual using Spider-Man's blood.
The story sees Kraven The Hunter launch a brutal attack against Spider-man alongside many of the other most powerful villains. Although he did not seek revenge against Spider-man, Kraven remains the strongest threat to Peter Parker.
9. He's Best Friends with Squirrel Girl
The adventures of Kraven The Hunter in modern times are not all doom and gloom. One of the most colorful and unusual storylines in recent years involves Doreen Allene Green, better known as Squirrel Girl. They're both on alert as Kraven sets his target on some of Squirrel Girl's favorite squirrels, including Tippy-Toe.
The two become friends after their meeting awakens Kraven to see that the animals he often hunts aren't always as challenging as Kraven thinks. With the help of Squirrel Girl, Kraven turns his attention to other supervillains and Kraven turns into a kind of anti-hero.
10. Kraven's Kids Made Up for His Absence in 2 Decades
During Kraven The Hunter's two-decade hiatus from comic book stories, another character took his place. Some of them are members of his family, including his children. These characters include Vladimir Kravinoff, who will become the Grim Hunter, and Nedrokci Tannengarden. His daughter, Ana, also became Kraven The Hunter.
The most unique of these 'kids' is Sons Of Kraven, a clone of the original Kraven created by High Evolutionary. High Evolutionary has also been revealed to be the architect behind the genetic manipulation of Scarlet Witch in the Marvel comics story.
