Mitsuri Kanroji is one of the nine Hashira in the Kamado Tanjiro era. The Love Hashira will likely play a major role in the upcoming Kimetsu no Yaiba season 3 alongside Muichiro Tokito.

1. She’s Exceptionally Strong Since Childhood

When Mitsuri was born, she was an adorable yet normal girl. But as she grew up, Mitsuri began to notice an unnatural growth. She ate way more than her siblings, and her hair changed to unnatural colors.

Mitsuri has also been physically way stronger than the average human since she was little. And because of that, she was feared and even often deemed as a freak by others.

She also had been rejected during a marriage interview when she was 17. Therefore, she decided to cut and dye her hair to look like a normal girl.

2. Possesses a Superhuman Muscle Composition

Mitsuri’s muscles are significantly stronger than the regular human. Despite her slender figure, Mitsuri has unbelievable strength & endurance that allow her to maintain her body’s structure after taking even the deadliest strikes.

However, to maintain her muscle composition, Mitsuri has to eat a daily intake of food equivalent to three sumo wrestlers.

3. She Uses Love Breathing Techniques

Love Breathing is a breathing style that is based on the emotion of love. It forms a combination of mid to long-ranged attacks that utilize the user’s flexibility, dexterity, agility, and speed.

Love Breathing complements Mitsuri really well as it maximizes the potential of her muscles, granting her tremendous strength without making her physically big.

Since this breathing style relies on her body’s special composition, Love Breathing is a technique that can only be used by Mitsuri.

4. The Creator of Love Breathing

Mitsuri learned Flame Breathing when she was training with Rengoku Kyojuro, yet she was unable to get a grasp of this technique. During the training process, she eventually decided to create her own technique and came up with the Love Breathing Style, which she adapted from the Flame Breathing style.

5. Has a Unique Sword

Unlike most Demon Slayers who use standard katanas, Mitsuri uses a thin, flexible, long whip-like sword. Due to the structure of the sword, Mitsuri is the only one who can use this weapon effectively given her superhuman flexibility.

With this katana, Mitsuri can use techniques faster than Tengen Uzui.

Her whip katana also has a distinct look with its pink color and the 4 leaf clover-shaped hilt.

6. A Caring Person

As shown in both the anime and the manga, Mitsuri is an affectionate and emotional character. She can be shy at times, but when she sees someone doing something that impresses her, she will compliment them and show her affection for them.

Because of her personality, she gets along with anyone. She’s close with every Hashira.

7. Gets Along Really Well with Several Hashira

Shortly after joining the Demon Slayer Corps, Mitsuri immediately became popular due to her friendly nature. She began her training with Rengoku Kyojuro, who helped her create a new technique.

She also gets along really well with another female Hashira, Shinobu Kocho, and often teaches her how to cook western food.

Mitsuri also loves to talk about cats with Gyomei Himejima.

8. Has Difficulty Finding a Romantic Partner

When it comes to love, lots of men have shown their interest in Mitsuri. Yet she’s unable to find a suitable candidate as she’s unsure whether the man she marries will stay with her.

The reason is, she only pretends to seem like a weak girl. When the truth unfolds, Mitsuri is afraid that her partner will leave her. 

9. Joined the Demon Slayer Corps to Find Love

Disappointed that she’s unable to find a suitable bachelor, Mitsuri met Kagaya Ubuyashiki, who told her to avoid fake people and start embracing her strength.

She then decided to join the Demon Slayer Corps and improve her power, before becoming the Love Hashira. However, she remains unable to find a romantic partner.

10. Obtained a Demon Slayer Mark

During her battle against Hantengu, Mitsuri had unconsciously awakened and obtained her Demon Slayer Mark, which is shaped of two upside-down hearts with angel wings on her neck.

When the mark is activated, Mitsuri becomes significantly stronger that she can go up against Upper-Rank Demons that require at least three Hashira to defeat.

This shows that her powers know no limit.
