The manga about the shinobi world, entitled Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, is in full swing when Boruto Uzumaki, possessed by Momoshiki Otsutsuki, looks like he was killed by Kawaki to protect Naruto. 1. The Main Villain in the Boruto Series

Momoshiki Otsutsuki is the main villain in the Boruto series. He arrived at the world Naruto and Boruto lived in to get chakra. As a member of the Otsutsuki clan, he visits planets like Kaguya to suck out the chakra of a planet with a God Tree. Momoshiki then plans to grow a new God Tree.

Momoshiki wanted to grow a god tree from the chakra of Naruto. Because Momoshiki already knew that he would be killed by Boruto Uzumaki, he gave the son of the Seventh Hokage a karma seal. With the karma seal, Momoshiki made Boruto's body a vessel for his reincarnation so that he could live eternally by changing bodies.

2. Can Overpower the Kage Easily

By ingesting Kinshiki Otsutsuki, all of Momoshiki Otsutsuki's power greatly increases. With this formidable power Momoshiki defeated many great people as well.

He easily defeated the great Kage from various countries such as Gaara, Darui, Chojuro and Kurotsuchi. He is able to fight Naruto Uzumaki, the Seventh Hokage who uses Sixth Path Sage Mode with his bare hands !

4. His Name and Appearance were Inspired By a Japanese Folklore Character Named Momotaro

The name Momoshiki Otsutsuki was inspired by the very popular Japanese folklore character, Momotaro. Like Momotaro, Momoshiki's appearance has pale skin, and blue hair that he puts in a long ponytail. His hair is parted in the middle in a zigzag pattern, and his head is decorated with a pair of curved flat horns that resemble the horns of a bull.

Momoshiki has eyebrows that are cut very short as a symbol of nobility. He wears the traditional aristocratic attire which consists of a white hunting robe called a kariginu. He also wears traditional Japanese baggy pants, footwear in the form of tengu-geta, and a black glove on his left hand, with a hole in the palm for his Rinnegan, which is red. He also wears a transparent hagoromo hood over her head.

Initially in the movie, after absorbing Kinshiki, Momoshiki's appearance underwent a drastic change. The changes were black sclera, white eyeballs, dark red skin, pointed chin, fangs, claws on his hands and feet, white hair, hair in a ponytail growing and becoming more pointed and bigger. The bull's spiky horns, the white markings under its eyes and a massive increase in body size were also experienced in this transformation.

His Rinnegan in his palm turned purple and he awakened the third Rinnegan on his forehead. In the novelized version of Boruto he does not awaken his third Rinnegan eye, but after devouring the last pill he made from Kinshiki, his skin turns from red to black and gives him the appearance of a black devil.

However, in the manga and the anime adaptation, Momoshiki's appearance is very different when absorbing Kinshiki. Its body became lithe and covered with radiating black markings that resembled a sunburst pattern, its horns became greatly enlarged and curved backwards. He also grows short claws on his fingers and toes, as well as elongated fangs. All of his dojutsu eyes turned golden, including the Rinnegan eyes on his forehead.

5. Can Absorb People's Chakra

The members of the Otsutsuki clan have a lot of Chakra. Even Momoshiki Otsutsuki had a massive chakra pool. He is as dangerous as Kaguya who is the last big enemy in the Naruto Shippuden series. After Momoshiki beat up Naruto, he disrupted the Chunin exam process which the Kage attended. This incident showed how powerful Momoshiki was.

He can also fly and take all the Chakra that his enemies have. He can also expel Chakra from other people's bodies, so that his victims can lose their energy. He did this Chakra extraction process on Killer Bee and Naruto.

6. Momoshiki Doesn't Like to Work Hard and isn't Good at Taijutsu

Momoshiki Otsutsuki was not someone who liked to work hard. He would rather use the powers and abilities of others, rather than use his own. It was because of this life principle that Momoshiki would not have any skills in physical martial arts or taijutsu. This is one of his weaknesses.

7. He is Easily Provoked

Momoshiki Otsutsuki is easily provoked and he will get very angry when things don't go well. When Boruto tore off the clothes Momoshiki was wearing, he became furious. He was raging on the battlefield.

Because of his uncontrollable emotions, Momoshiki didn't do anything to protect his chakra. He firmly believed that his super strength could sustain him. Momoshiki thought he could rejuvenate his Chakra from the fruit he got. He thought he could also recharge his Chakra by attacking other people.

8. Has the Byakugan like the Hyuga Clan

Just like the Hyuga Clan's abilities, Momoshiki Otsutsuki has the Byakugan in both eyes. The Byakugan gave him telescopic vision, x-ray vision, a field of visual perception of nearly 360° (with the exception of what is considered to be a small blind spot in the upper thoracic spine. He can also see the chakra pathway and tenketsu.

By using these Byakugan eyes, Momoshiki can see Kurama's Chakra sealed within Naruto's body. In the manga and anime, Momoshiki can use the Byakugan to read the fate of others, although that ability does not allow him to see his own destiny.

9. He Sees Himself a Superior Race and Considers the Humans of the Earth as Despicable Creatures

Momoshiki Otsutsuki is calculating. He would estimate and calculate everything before doing whatever he was about to undertake. He is also very sadistic. He injured some people then he laughed seeing it. He used to refer to the humans of the earth as "despicable creatures". After absorbing Kinshiki, Momoshiki Otsutsuki can create a fiery red weapon, which he uses in the manga to sever the God Tree on his planet. Momoshiki has some knowledge in fuinjutsu, as evidenced by his attempts to extract Kurama from Naruto's body.

By sacrificing a lot of Chakra, Momoshiki was able to use time and space ninjutsu to move himself between dimensions. While possessing Boruto's body, Momoshiki has developed a variation of the Rasengan, which is a spiral bullet for ranged attacks.
