1. Born in Shandong
Zhuge Liang, who lived from 181 to 234, proclaimed himself Kong Ming, and was nicknamed Wo Long. Zhuge is best known for his role as Liu Bei's adviser during the Three Kingdoms period in Chinese history. He was born in Yangdu, what is now Yishui district, Shandong province, China.

Zhuge Liang once carried out reforms in the Jingzhou area, which was ruled by corrupt officials. Apart from crushing these corrupt officials, Zhuge borrowed Cao Cao's agricultural tactics to help increase food production and the standard of living of the people in the Jingzhou area.

6. Making Legal Reforms in Shu
Zhuge Liang said that in order to govern the country well, it is necessary to first rely on virtue to encourage and educate, and add clear legal institutions and a system of rewards and punishments. Zhuge Liang's strict legal policies not only restrained the powerful but also encouraged them to do more justice, so the politics of Shu became very clear.

9. Buried like a Commoner Even Though He was a High-ranking Royal
In August 234, Zhuge Liang became seriously ill. His wish before he died was that after his death, he would not need to be taken to Chengdu for burial, but rather buried in Mount Dingjun at the forefront of the war, to symbolize the will of “horse skin covering corpses on the battlefield”.
In late August 234, Zhuge Liang fell ill during the 6th campaign of conquest, at the age of 54. He was buried in Dingjun Mountain in the Hanzhong Region according to his will. The grave is located in a mountain area, enough to accommodate a coffin, Zhuge Liang's body was buried wearing ordinary clothes like commoners, and was not buried with any treasures attached.
