This year's March issue of Shogakukan Shonen Sunday S magazine revealed on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 that Yutaka Abe and Jiro Maruden will launch a manga adaptation of Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet (Meitantei Conan: Hiiro no Dangan). The manga, based on the 24th Detective Conan film, will be released in the April 2022 issue of Shogakukan Shonen Sunday S magazine.

Abe and Maruden's manga adaptation of Detective Conan: Quarter of Silence (Meitantei Conan: Chinmoku no Quarter) will end in the April 2022 issue of Shogakukan Shonen Sunday S magazine as well.

Abe and Maruden previously worked on manga adaptations of other Detective Conan films in the franchise. Abe and Maruden have also worked on a manga adaptation of Detective Conan: Fist of Blue Sapphire (Meitantei Conan: Konjo no Fist) which is the 23rd Detective Conan film. The manga ended in May 2021 when the Detective Conan: Quarter of Silence manga adaptation was announced.

The Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet was released in Japan in April 2021 after experiencing a one-year delay due to COVID-19. TMS Entertainment premiered the film with an English dub at the Anime NYC event in November 2021. The film was also released simultaneously in 22 countries outside of Japan.

Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween (Meitantei Conan: Halloween no Hanayome), the 25th film in the franchise, will be released in Japan on April 15, 2022.
