The official website for Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Kanketsu-hen - Fukushuusha Scar (Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter - The Avenger Scar) and Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Kanketsu-hen - Saigo no Rensei (Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter - The Last Transmutation), two Fullmetal Alchemist live-action sequel in the Fullmetal Alchemist franchise, began streaming the trailer for the second film on Thursday, June 2, 2022.

The films feature a returning cast from the first Fullmetal Alchemist live-action film. The Fullmetal Alchemist live-action film stars Ryosuke Yamada (Members of Hey! Say! JUMP and Nagisa from Assassination Classroom live-action) as Edward Elric, Atomu Mizuishi (Garo - Makai no Hana, Prince of Tennis stage play musical season 2) as Alphonse Elric, Tsubasa Honda (Futaba Blue Spring Ride live-action) as Winry Rockbell, and Dean Fujioka (Happy Marriage!? live-action) as Roy Mustang.

Fumihiko Sori (Ping Pong live-action) will return after working on the first Fullmetal Alchemist live-action to direct his latest Fullmetal Alchemist live-action films.

Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Kanketsu-hen - Fukushuusha Scar was released on May 20, 2022 and tells of Edward's battle with the character Scar. The film earned 96,503,050 yen (approximately 10 billion rupiah) in its first three days of release and ranked #9 on its screening weekend.

Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Kanketsu-hen - Saigo no Rensei will be released on June 24, 2022 and depicts the final battle of the story. The films commemorate the 20th anniversary of Hiromu Arakawa's Fullmetal Alchemist manga.

Previously Fullmetal Alchemist live-action film opened at the Tokyo International Film Festival in October 2017 for its global premiere, before it was released in Japan in December 2017.
