The Genshin Impact 4.0 update is something Genshin Impact players have been really looking forward to. A massive update of this game is coming, especially with a new region called Fontaine which has been confirmed for its presence in the upcoming update. Genshin Impact 4.0 Update

1. New Area: Fontaine

As previously confirmed, in the upcoming Genshin Impact 4.0, update there will be a new region called Fontaine, where players can explore this new region. So far, there have been three divisions of areas in Fontaine, namely the Court of Fontaine Region, Beryl Region, and Belleau Region. Apart from that, there will be an underwater area that Genshin Impact players can later explore.

Of course, as one of the seven regions of Teyvat, Fontaine will also be the home of one of the Archons, namely Hydro Archon. Although this figure remains unknown, players can look forward to this mysterious figure while exploring this new territory. The leak of the existence of the Fontaine area was previously known from an NPC in Liyue named Caspar. Caspar is the only character in the game who hails from Fontaine, if you talk to Caspar, Caspar will reveal that he enjoys the sight of Liyue, as it is very different from his native land.

2. New Characters

It seems like it's no longer a secret if every time a new Genshin Impact region is added, meaning that new characters will be added from that region. This time, several Fontaine characters will be present along with the region's signature weapons. Starting from the news that the trio of siblings Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet will become new playable characters. It is reported that Lyney will be a 5-star Pyro and bow user character, Lynette will be a 4-star Anemo and sword user, and Freminet will be a four-star Cyro and claymore user. Lynette is also rumored to be a free four-star character when Fontaine launches.

3. New Artifacts

As with the arrival of the Sumeru, the upcoming arrival of the Fontaine region is also accompanied by the presence of two new artifact sets. There will be two domains that you can play with to farm new artifacts in Fontaine. The first artifact set is named Golden Troupe, which has the following effects:

• 2 Artifacts Attached: Increases 20% DMG of Elemental Skills
• 4 Artifacts Attached: Increases 25% DMG of Elemental Skills. Also, when not on the battlefield, the damage dealt by Elemental Skills increases by another 25%.

This effect can disappear within 2 seconds after entering the battlefield, while there is a second set of artifacts that will be available is Marechausse Hunter set with the following effects:

• 2 Sets Attached: Increases 15% DAMAGE of Normal Attack and Charged Attack
• 4 Sets Attached: When HP increases or decreases, CRIT Rate increases by 12% for 5 seconds, and can be stacked 3 times.

4. New Features and New Inventory

Genshin Impact 4.0 also offers several improvements and new features to improve your experience in the game. Previously, it was reported that Genshin Impact would increase the artifact inventory limit in update 4.0. Where previously the inventory that you currently have can only hold 1500 artifact inventory which will be increased to 1800 artifact inventory. Besides that, the appearance of the party UI that you have will also experience changes with new animations and an updated appearance.

Not only new features and content, the optimization of the game system will also make it easier for you with a multi-layered Map which will make it easier for you to explore. 5. Hydro Traveler

Every time a Traveler, aka the main character (Aether or Lumine), explores a new area in Genshin Impact, they will also gain new abilities to change their elements. This time, Fontaine as the ground for the Hydro element will allow your Traveler to change to the Hydo element once you gain access to the area. Previously, there have been several leaks about how the Hydro Traveler animation can make attacks like bubbles and attacks that can be used underwater.

6. Diving Mechanism in Genshin Impact 4.0

As previously mentioned, players can explore underwater areas in Fontaine. This indicates a new mechanism, namely diving, which is the most highlighted update in Genshin Impact 4.0. Some leakers also provide leaks if there is no oxygen bar when swimming, but there is a new aquatic stamina bar that appears when you swim fast underwater. 7. A New Gadget: Crystalfly

According to several leaks circulating among fans, players can access a new gadget that will make it easier to catch Crystalflies in Fontaine. Based on leaked information, you need 300 pieces of Fontaine's Ore to be able to make the Crystalfly Trap gadget. This new gadget will make it much easier for fans who have had trouble catching the flying Crystalflies, moreover, this item is really necessary for the development of the characters that you have.
