After being rumored for the last two years, the level cap in Pokemon GO is now raised by Niantic. Previously, the max level that you could get into in Pokemon GO was Level 40, but now, it’s been raised to Level 50.
However, to level up from Level 40 to 50 isn’t solely based on the XP you gain. But Niantic has also provided some challenges with time-consuming Quests.
Trainers who haven’t reached Level 40 now have more reasons to grind as Niantic will reward them will Level 40 Legacy Badge and a Gyarados Hat before 2021.
Approximately one month ago, Niantic introduced this new level cap system to Trainers in Australia. After receiving feedback from the Trainers, Niantic made some slight adjustments to the Quests and made them less demanding.
Finally, in December 2020, all Pokemon GO Trainers can enjoy the latest update, GO Beyond Level 40!
Actually, aside from the XP requirement, the Quests given by Niantic are not that difficult, some of them include Power Ups, catching certain Pokemon, hatching eggs, completing Research Tasks, defeating Team Rocket, etc.
However, these Quests are deliberately designed to be a bit time-consuming, so that the Trainers need to spend some time to complete them. Most of these Quests take a while to complete.
Take “Win 30 raids” for example. For casual Trainers, this Quest certainly takes too much time. Next is taking a snapshot of your Pokemon for seven consecutive days. It’s simple, but it takes a long time, doesn’t it? Another one is defeating a Team GO Rocket Leader 50 times, while to have a battle with 1 Team GO Rocket Leader, you will need to defeat 6 Team GO Rocket Grunts first.
Some tips and tricks that we can suggest you try in leveling up in Pokemon GO are by getting the best out of the XP you gain from Friendships among other activities, such as pulling off Excellent Throws using Lucky Eggs. For the Go Beyond Level 40 Quests, you should pay attention to which Quest are you going to carry out next while completing your current Quest.
For example, you can have a Buddy Eevee with you, so that when you receive the “Evolve Eevee” (Umbreon & Espeon) Quest, you just need to evolve your Eevee. Watch the following Dunia Games’ video on leveling up from Level 40, hosted by Professor Ado:
