The January 2023 issue of Kodansha's Shonen Magazine Edge published the final chapter of author Reiji Kaito's Shinigami Tantei Elria no Kai (The Death God Detective Elria) manga by author Reiji Kaito and illustrator Momota Kanzaki on December 16, 2022. The third and final compiled book volume of the Shinigami Tantei Elria manga no Kai will launch on April 17, 2023.

The manga Shinigami Tantei Elria no Kai centers on the protagonist who is reincarnated into the world of his favorite detective manga, and becomes the assistant to the legendary detective Elria. Kaito and Kanzaki serialized the Shinigami Tantei Elria no Kai manga in Shonen Magazine Edge in December 2021. Kodansha published the Shinigami Tantei Elria no Kai manga compilation book through its second volume on October 17, 2022.

Kaito also wrote the Unbreakable Machine-Doll light novel series. Kaito launched the light novel series with illustrations by LLO (Mushi-Uta, Oreshura) in 2009, and ended it with the two-part 16th volume in July 2017. Hakaru Takagi launched a manga adaptation in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Alive magazine in 2017. 2010, and the ninth and final volume was released in March 2016.

The novels inspired an anime series that premiered in October 2013. Funimation streamed the series as each new episode airs in Japan, and released the series on DVD and Blu-ray Disc with English subtitles in 2015.

Kaito and Hiyon Katsuragi also launched the Mobile Suit Gundam Valpurgis manga in Kadokawa's Gundam Ace magazine in August 2017, and ended it in October 2019.
