Character details and attack attributes can be identified through owned Vision and the color of attack produced by each character. 

In Lynette’s vision, it is characterized by a curved top, while in Lyney’s, the top of the vision has a flatter shape. From this difference, it can be said that Lynette uses Ousia's energy, while Lyney controls Pneuma. For new characters in the upcoming Fontaine area you just need to observe the form of vision that they own, this is the fastest and most effective way to determine whether they rely on Pneuma or Ousia energy.

The next step is that you can observe by paying attention to how they attack. Pneuma is characterized by a striking, bright golden color, while Ousia appears as a darker purple energy.

Pneuma Genshin Impact

Ousia Genshin Impact

Ousia is a dark-purple colored energy possessed by certain characters in the Hydro Fontaine region. Ousia energy can also be found in the wilderness around Fontaine which can temporarily be picked up and used by any character.

Here’s example of characters who own Ousia energy:

• 4* Anemo Sword Character, Lynette
• 5* Cryo Catalyst Character, Wriothesley
• 5* Electro Sword Character, Clorinde
• 5* Geo Claymore Character, Navia

Since we currently only have a small part of the complete Fontaine map, it is possible that the Pneuma and Ousia systems will be expanded in the future as the Hydro region develops. If any new puzzles or mechanics with this Fontaine system are introduced, they will be added here.

How Pneuma and Ousia React?

When Pneuma and Ousia react, it will trigger Annihilation. Although it's not an ordinary elemental reaction, Annihilation has a similar function as the system.

When many mechanical creatures around Fontaine's territory are resurrected by Pneuma or Ousia, attacking with the opposite energy will result in Annihilation. This reaction can make enemies disabled and easier to defeat. This reaction is very beneficial when exploring the Fontaine area because defeating enemies becomes easier.
