The Origin of the British Secret Service Kingsman

The film tells the story of Orlando Oxford (Ralph Fiennes), the man who will create a secret service centered on the two previous Kingsman films. Orlando played a major role in several events related to World War I. Orlando as Duke of Oxford is an important partner of the British king, King George, played by Tom Hollander. In this film, Tom Hollander also plays Kaiser Wilhelm, and Tsar Nicholas, because the leaders of the British, German, and Russian empires are brothers and their faces are similar to each other.

Oxford starts his own spy ring with the help of Shola (Djimon Hounsou) and Polly (Gemma Arterton), two geniuses who work at his house. Shola and Polly are able to gather information from a network of maids around the world. This was successfully done because of the presence of servants who were often ignored by others and allowed them to infiltrate everywhere.

Meanwhile, there is a villain by the nickname Shepherd who plunges the world into chaos with the help of his own spy network. Shepherd's spy network consisted of famous world historical figures namely Gavrilo Princip, Vladimir Lenin, Mata Hari, Rasputin, and Adolf Hitler. When world war breaks out because of Shepherd, Oxford tries to keep his son Conrad (Harris Dickinson) away from the front lines.

Exciting War Movies Starring Famous Actors and Actresses

If you like Harry Potter films, you must be familiar with actors Ralph Fiennes who plays Lord Voldemort and Rhys Ifans as the father of Luna Lovegood. Well, in The King's Man the two of them appear together but with characters that seem to be swapped. Here Fiennes instead becomes the protagonist, Oxford and Ifans becomes the cruel antagonist, Rasputin. The duel scene between the two of them, which presents historical facts about Rasputin, who has repeatedly escaped death, is shown in this film.

The famous Djimon Hounsou and Gemma Arterton also acted beautifully as both servants and secret agents who managed to steal the attention of the audience. Not to mention the presence of Aaron Taylor-Johnson, the Quicksilver actor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) who will later become the grandfather of the Kingsman character in the first and second films. This exciting prequel is a must watch, as it answers all of the origins of the previous Kingsman films while presenting dramatic world historical events.
