An Obscene Tifa Lockhart Video Interrupts Italian Senate Meeting
A CGI video featuring fan-made indecent scenes from Final Fantasy VII's Tifa Lockhart hijacked the Italian Senate's Zoom meeting
News | 20 January
The Zoom meeting of the Italian state senate was disrupted on Monday January 17, 2022, when a CGI video featuring a fan-made obscene scene of Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII hijacked a shared video call feed.
The obscene video played in a Zoom meeting for about 30 seconds before it was finally shut down. Even so, after the video was turned off, Tifa Lockhart's voice was still heard for a few seconds in the middle of the official meeting.
The Zoom meeting was broadcast live on Facebook and on the Senato della Repubblica TV channel, which broadcasts live proceedings of the Italian government's performance.
Kotaku reports that the video of the Italian Senate Zoom meeting featuring Tifa Lockhart's obscene video has been completely removed from Facebook VOD.
According to reports from people involved at the scene, a hacker is alleged to have hijacked the Zoom video call feed and broadcast Tifa Lockhart's video. The identity of the prankster is still unknown as of this writing.
