Tsuma, Shougakusei ni Naru tells the story of a man named Keisuke (Shinichi Tsutsumi) who lost his wife, Takae in a traffic accident 10 years ago. Keisuke still hasn't forgotten his wife's death. After losing his wife, Keisuke just spends his days aimlessly. He also has a daughter named Mai.

Keisuke hopes Mai is happy, but because of his sadness, he can't do anything for Mai except to support her by making a living. He wasn't attached to her emotionally and barely spoke to Mai. It seems that the harmonious relationship between father and daughter stopped 10 years ago when Takae died.

One day, a strange elementary school student appears in front of Keisuke and Mai. The elementary school girl  introduced himself as Takae's reincarnation, strangely the girl remembered everything that only Keisuke and Takae knew.
